They made non stop noise at Everton. Did Everton provide music for them? A lot of commentators have mentioned the support and atmosphere at Selhurst Park. Haven't heard them enthusing about the KC. Though we are in the frame for The Most Fans Remaining Seated and Silent awards, both home and away.

Really? You don't understand why people go to watch their club when they keep defying the odds and turning over the big boys, regardless of how "unattractive" their football is? How naive.

Moreover, listen to some of you ****ers here, berating a manager on account that he employs direct tactics in order to gain results. We would've given our right arm for someone like Tony Pulis in the dark days. We have a couple of spells in the Premier League and you already sound like those silly cockerney ****s bleating on about "The West Ham Way".

But Pulis is the antichrist, his real name is Damien Pulis and when he played, his squad number was 666..... <devil>

It's pretty clear from Ben's post that he's talking about this season's achievements.

Which are quite remarkable considering where Palace were when he took over. There aren't many managers who win 5 in a row on the PL. If other teams haven't got the power to cope that's their problem.

But Rodgers is manager of the season by an absolute mile if the scousers pull it off...

They must have had on average about 35% possession over the course of the season. Seems they've had less than 40% for as many games back as I can remember.

**** all possession, **** all chances yet they just keep getting the single goal they need every time. They must have the highest shot conversion in the league while also having the best shots faced/goals ratio.

I was talking to a Palace fan last night. He says that their game plan is to defend and score on the break. He says it sounds crazy but it's working. I agreed with him. He denied they have a reputation for conning penalties by citing Manchester United! I still think they have a bigger reputation than United at conning penalties.

My dad said that in the second world war in north Africa they'd get told the following:

Bad news: We're mounting an attack tomorrow
Good news: It's against the Italians!

    Agreed. Winning is everything.

Pulis is should get the manager of the season award because of what he's done at Palace since he arrived. I accept that he made Palace realise that their strategy of spending very little money wouldn't keep them in the division. He showed that football is a simple game and judgement is all important. You need to know what is needed to get you out of trouble. Bruce has done well at changing things during matches though but it doesn't look as dramatic.

Palace's fans make a lot of noise but they don't seem to be embarrassed by the cheerleaders and music.

I've been to one, doesn't mean I'm MOTS material.

I know it's the Leeds way to harp on & exaggerate about minor successes in the distant past being relevant today but surely even the most deluded of Leeds fans can't believe Pulis deserves MOTS 2014 because he got to the Cup Final in 2011, can they?

I merely pointed out that there are more deserving managers than Pulis for MOTS in 2014.

Ah **** it, give it to Don Revie. He's the most successful manager ever, loyal & always trustworthy in his approach to the game. He deserves it, he got to a cup final once.

& that makes them Southern? How?

Leaving a game early doesn't qualify you as a simpleton in the same way as burning down your own town does.

Oh how I love it when people come out with stuff like this.... Possesion, shots on goal, pretty tikka-takka....There is one aim to a football match and one only. Pulis' Palace are doing this one thing magnificently.

It's incomparable, dark days - premier league, it's not even a point worth considering Polly.

It's like saying when you were homeless and starving you'd have given your right arm for half chewed scraps chucked in a restaurant bin, but now you have a decent job and a house for a while and you already sound like a silly cockerney **** bleating on because you chose not to eat something you ****ing despise, like horse radish.

    Apples and oranges.

Pulis has done remarkably well, particularly given the fact that he has achieved it mostly with the dog-****e players he inherited from Holloway.
However the fact remains, that if he was put in charge of a squad with more talented players, he would still only achieve mid-table status because his teams only know how to play one way.
