Theo, Fabregas wants to go, that's why.

He should do the decent thing and put in a Transfer Request.

£35M is fair enough I would say.

The fee Liverpool paid for Carroll was laughable, I wouldn't use that a yardstick to judge Fabregas

Thanks for that fiberglass. No need to be rude fella, you clearly disagree with what I have said strongly, but...

Bit confused, are you saying that £35M for Fabregas is not fair enough, if so too much or too little?

    Or

    That Carroll was worth £35M?

This is why I called you a moron.

If he really did want to go then he would have put in a transfer request. And how is that the decent thing to do?

£35 million for the best young midfielder in the world? We deserve a lot more than that.

He wants to go, but wants his maximum out of the deal, by putting a Transfer Request in he would waive entitlement to various financial benefits, which means Arsenal get to keep all the money Barca pay for him, which considering he is contracted for years is a decent way of saying thank you for letting me go.

And which Midfielders have been transferred for £35M+ in the history of the game?

Zidane (the best Player on the Planet for a decade and an all time great) and............

£35M in today's market is about right.

Really? Didn't know you knew Fabregas that well. So apart from your completely unsubstantiated claims that he is only staying here for money (when he could be earning much more money at other clubs) do you have any other evidence that he wants to leave? No, thought not.

The transfer market has got a lot more inflated since the likes of Zidane were being sold, so the prices they went for no longer apply. In today's market we could get a lot more for Fabregas, so why should we sell when we don't need to for a smaller amount than he is worth?

Personally I think £35 million for Fabregas is fair, theres two reasons for that,Barcelona may need whenever another Spaniard seeing as Xavi is getting older.Liverpool got £34 million for Alonso when he was 28 because Real needed another Spaniard.

Do you have any other evidence that he wants to leave? No, thought not.

Direct Quote from Cesc Fabregas : “You see your colleagues triumph here and the desire is tremendous because we have worked together many years ago,” he said. “When you see that things are going so well for them, I think I would like to go to Barcelona. Then if they want me or not is another thing. It’s what I want and what I would like.”

    I would call that evidence.

You are right, the Transfer Market has inflated since the days of Zidane.

And yet, no other Midfielder has been sold for £35M

    Anywhere. Ever.

You may feel he is worth more. But you are not in the market for a creative midfielder, those that are see £35M as rather a lot of money.

    Schofield.
The reason why the price is so high is like the English thing,Barcelona are a Spanish club and Fabregas is Spanish. If he were Italian the price wouldn't be anywhere near as high.Thats the reason why Liverpool screwed Real for £34 million on Alonso. And he was 5 years older than Fabregas.

Another direct quote. If he wanted to go he could have forced the issue and refused to play for us. But being the decent man that he is he is still putting his all in for us.

Fabregas is worth about £50 million by my evaluation.
