a LOT of leeds fans have been condescending about LCFC and have been saying, why would he want to come here? as if leeds are something above us...i haven't said your bitter...but it seems any player who has the audacity to leave leeds becomes rubbish over night...
Schmeichel may be covering his own backside with the leeds fans but if he signs for us, he will have done himself no favours with Leicester fans. Considering the tollerance levels of fans towards keepers recently, lets hope if he starts for us at start of season he does'nt let in a couple of soft goals!!!
There's always going to be a bit of bitterness from some areas. You only have to look at the Maynard thread on here - yes some of them are reasonable and talk about it sensibly, some though are bricking it that they will lose a good player and angrily write that he's never going to come, somewhat in denial as they know it's a possibility. Likewise some Leeds fans are going over the top with criticism, whilst I'm sure he does have his faults I'm also sure he's a decent championship keeper and a lot better than some they have had, and some we have had for that matter. The tone of some posts are condescending (not necessarily on here but other sites) and overly harsh towards the player. If Maynard signs for us I expect several Bristol fans to start saying he's injury prone, overrated by most and that we won't go up anyway.
seriously this guy is a class act, im so dissapointed to seeing him go and he will be a fantastic keeper, still has bit to learn but his shot stopping is very good and hes also good at one on ones

I dont think Casper has said anything out of order at all if what he is saying is true. He has a good rapport with the Leeds fans and if he is being sold on without his consent then he has every right to voice his objection. I know players cannot officially be sold without consent but it happens in the form of being dropped and austracized. Lets face it Person tried to sell Matock to Forest and Joe knew what that meant so jumped ship to the Baggies. The Casper thing looked nailed on last night, now we hear it's just two clubs agreeing terms. There is stil the player and his agent to satisfy and that is by far the largest hurdle. On another issue, Casper is a great keeper so if Leeds are moving him on then they are getting someone else in.......Westwood??? Be gutted if it was as he is my number one choice followed by Casper. Essentially though we have to take what everyone says with a pinch of salt as there are so many twists and turns when players sign that until the deal is done there is no deal.
According to sky we are now in talks with Lee Peltier from Huddersfield The BBC are saying the fee is around 750K. I wouldnt mind signing Peltier as a squad player but im not sure about first choice

So Grayson has gone onto Yorkshire Radio and defended the Kasper transfer. Stating it was a âfootball decisionâ because he is trying to improve the back 4/5. Now this is a clear statement that Kasper either isnât in his plans or simply wasnât good enough. I canât help but think that with contrasting statements â something is not right behind the scenes here. Who is right?

He's not actually signed yet, but the only way I can see this falling through is if Schmeichel takes it to heart, digs his heels in and decides he has a point to prove. Either way, Leeds can't lose, unless Jason Brown is the replacement.
Well, only time will tell if this is going to be a good signing or not. Leeeeeds fans say he´s a dodgy GK, not very good at commanding the box, flaps at crosses & always blames the DEF for his mistakes. Some Danish fans say he´s going to be a top GK in time with the right manager/trainer. Some say he´ll be prem quality some say other wise. Leeeeeds say he did´nt want to sign a longer contract JS says he was´nt even asked & does´nt want to leave Leeeeeds, which means he´s being forced out & forced in to a club that he does´nt want to play for This is all abit of a p*** take & it´s our 1st signing aswell. I hope, as he knows him, SGE can get him in the right frame of mind & make his stay at LC a good one, the last thing we need is a 'flappy, I can´t be f***ed' GK after all we LC fans have just gone through last season. COOOME OOON YOOOU BLUUUES
