Assuming that we are safe, it could be that if Sunderland beat us on the last day of the season, they could stay up with Cardiff relegated in their place. If that were the scenario, what would you want?

Vetch - I agree that we are not yet safe, Sunderland have certainly put the cat amongst the pigeons (or is that Canaries / Bluebirds) with their fantastic win today. If we can get something from the next 2 games then that should seal safety. Sunderland have left to play Cardiff, ManU (away) West Brom Swansea Will 9 points keep them up? 38 would put them ahead of Fulham, Cardiff, Norwich and West Brom. End of season looks like a hairy scary time still.

The right side of defence was wrong all day . Amat needs to go , pitiful display today. Should have been responsible for more than just the one goal today , but we got lucky . Rangel's days are done imo ... bless him.

You can thank me for the 3 points - on the way to the pub I put a tenner on the Swans to be relegated (at 11-1), my reasoning; I have never, ever won a bet - that is the best tenner I have ever spent in my life! I know - how could little old me possibly influence the result; but ain't that the kind of superstitious crap us long suffering football fans always fall for? Our two goals aside (and the splendid Shelvey 'take out' of referee Foy) didn't enjoy a single minute of the match - was far too tense - but, guess what, a battling display and we won ugly!!! That was a massive display of guts today, not a pretty match but to be honest I couldn't give a sh*t! We have played far better recently and lost; three ugly points at this stage is worth far more than a good performance! I was so relieved and happy at the final whistle (Bony must have ice water running through his veins - the penalty was cool and clinical) - but this Saturday was the day that kept on giving - believe in karma and it really kicked in with the 5.30 kick off!
