Not really mate, he's scored 4 , that isn't a fair swap for a league title!

It means Chelsea can't park the bus against us next weekend hoping we'd drop points.

Chelsea will have to play an open game which means we're more likely to beat them.

Chelsea winning would have made a difference tho. You are saying Chelsea being 3 points worse off doesn't benefit you?

That is the single daftest thing I've heard, and I live with Geordies.

  8. They could do that anyway, they had to beat us (assuming we wim tomorrow). Now they need to beat us AND hope we and Man City mess up too.

  9. Its only of benefit if we mess up. However, if we mess up then Man City will be in control. Chelsea lpsing is great but it changes nothing as far as Liverpool is concerned. We needed ten points before todays game and we still need ten points from our last four games (unless Man City mess up)

    What?

Chelsea, whatever you do, have THREE LESS POINTS than if they'd won.

In every single theory this benefits Liverpool, win, lose, draw tomorrow, Chelsea will remain 3 points further back than if they'd won, yes?

  12. Where did I say it didn't benefit us? I said it makes no difference to what we need to do because a loss still lets Man City in. Learn to read!

See your own quote 'it's only of benefit if we mess up'

Does that not mean, as it stands, no benefit?

And you are telling me to learn to read? **** sake man.

How you have made this thread anything other than Sunderland fans wishing you well and being glad that we thought we'd helped you (clearly, we didn't...) I will never know.

    Sweet jesus.

Changes things for us with regards to Chelsea, true, but it was always City who were the main challengers due to their games in hand. Before today's game, we needed 10 points from our four games. After today's game, we still need 10 points from our four games.

It's semantics and not really worth arguing about...

Psychologically, it's good though, and it'll certainly affect Chelsea's mentality going into their game against us too

  16. I haven't made it anything, your failure to understand basic English as ****ed it up!

Its really quite simple; we have the exact same points target now as we did before you beat Chelsea. Therefore, it has no immediate effect other than taking one of the two rivals out of the equation (yes, thats a benefit).

Chelsea had to attack before the loss so it does change our game (unless we lose to Norwich) either, they still need to attack.

Disagree, everyone at the top is losing points and it could be Liverpool tomorrow.

The more other teams take points off our the rivals the better.

If City loses tomorrow and Chelsea won today, then you will say Chelsea are our biggest rivals.
