You're a week early with that one but if he isn't sacked first then he'll get to 6. If he isn't sacked he'll get to 8 !!!

The first to lose 5 in a row is bad enough and embarrassing enough. Ashley has to act immediately.

Not sure about Cardiff, I reckoned we might win that one but now a draw is probably the best we can hope for. Arsenal and Liverpool - combined double figures for sure - put the mortgage on it now.

I can't see him sacking him before the end of the season, and I was of the opinion that there was no point doing something till then, but the longer this goes on the more harm the bad feeling spreading everywhere is going to cause. It needs to be changed ASAP!!

Pardew has definitely knacked that team. There's only relegation ahead with him in charge. You don't hear about transfer requests these days but how many will really want to stay after the summer?

Garth Crooks has just said that he thinks that this defeat could cost Alan Pardew his job. It shows how bad things are when I find myself hoping that Garth Crooks is proved right!

If Garth said it, then there is no hope in it happening.

The only ones who will want to stay are those who nobody else would have. The future is looking pretty bleak and the transfer window won't help. Even if, and it's a big if, we sign some half decent players, there is an underlying problem at our club which makes players like Enrique, Ba, Cabaye want to leave. I suspect Remy will be out the door like a rocket too come the end of the season.
Players should want to win everything, no matter what., but if the club continues with the current strategy then all we will attract are parasites and fakes. Those types of players don't care if they get beaten week in and week out, all they want is money and an easy ride, or they will play until they secure a move elsewhere, simply using us as a shop window. No pride, no passion and no commitment.

I agree lass. We have got big problems. No player is going to want to sign for us in our current state. It all needs a serious rethink

Mike Ashley taking a fair bit of stick on BBC1 Final score from Danny Mills - now that's the sort of thing that might push Ashley into doing something about pardew

Basically going on about how Mike Ashley only wants to be in the prem and that he only wants to finish anywhere between 8th and 17th, and how he wants to sell all of the good players and make money out of the club. He was also saying that there is no way of fans venting frustration at him so Alan Pardew will get that as well as the frustration at any managerial issues.

Garth Crooks then basically told the fans to have a go at Mike Ashley cos he is the only one who can change things.

They weren't saying that. They were negative about pardew too, but were saying that the pressure needs to be put on Ashley to change things and not Pardew. Basically saying that pressure needs to be put on ashley to sack pardew - without actually saying so outright

There's no point in getting rid of Pardew, we would only end up with JFK in charge. I will say that i think he needs to go, but i have 0% faith in MA getting someone better in. If he could get Laudrup or someone else like that then yeah go for it but i just cant see it happening!

MA just needs to sell up and go, that or either take an interest in the club. Have to agree with Danny Mills (as painful as it is to say) MA only wants PL foiotie and aslong as we are between 17-8 he doesn't care.

I can come to terms with the ethos of buying cheap and selling but there still needs to be investment. The squad is just too thin and everyone has been on summer holiday mode for the past 3 months.

Joe Kinnear would never get a management job again because PL managers now have to pass a strict medical exam.
