Game is being squashed in the middle third as Villa sit and go long, with us working it up and them then moving up-field to condense the playing area. Leads to a lot of little fouls and little rhythm to the game. Suits Villa, I guess.
Wanyama's been okay. Where we do miss Cork is in playing from the back because Cork will sometimes beat his man whereas Wanyama lacks the speed/technique and plays more conservatively. And getting caught on the counter. When Wanyama's in I think we have to try to keep possession in the opposing end and use Wanyama as a guy to get to clearances and tackle mids to hold it in. Shaw's playing well today but when he beats his man there's no one fast enough to get on the end of his crosses. I agree that Gallagher needs to come on to give us that speed, maybe at around 55' or 60'.
My considerable scouting experience in FM 12 suggests that he's otherworldly at the Championship level, but doesn't make the step up to the Prem terribly well.
We are in the middle of a game and you are querying a players competence, seems a bit uneccesary at this stage. Wanna hasn't had a bad game, but I think he is still worrying about that injury.
