Really looking forward to the game. Who and what will prevail; Mourinho's boring "keep a clean sheet and nick something" or Brod's "ATTACK!!!" approach? We've only failed to score in two games all season, the worrying part (for us) is we lost them both (1-0 to Southampton and 2-0 to Arsenal) and you guys have the best defence in the league.
If you win tomorrow I can see Jose sending the u21's to play to make sure no injuries for the CL semi 2nd leg. You could win it next week and that would always be remembered, Liverppol won the title v u21's. DO IT JOSE, DO IT.
Norwich are very poor. If we get a reasonable result in Madrid Jose will focus on that for certain. With him being so pissed at the FA I can see him sending a very weakened squad.
If we win the CL tie and make a point. yes. I'd love a huge spectacle built up by the media, billed by sky as a heavy weight clash to be pissed on by us and embarrass the PL as a 'product'. English football doesnt give a **** about us, so why should we care about IT?
I apologise if this is perceived as a wind up: Chelsea fans always accused us of saying there was corruption and bias inside the FA. They mocked us when Rafa made his famous "Rafa" rant which was similar to what happened today. The truth is the Rafa rant looking back was ridiculous and it cost us the league. There is no corruption inside the referee panel just incompetence. And that incompetence is what ruins correct results. The united fans always used to say last season that these decisions "balanced out" and although we both know that concept is bollocks; do you remember Webbs non penalty earlier this year which cost us a point against you? Statements like "English football doesn't give a **** about us" just come across as strange. In regards to your team against us, we would love it if you fielded a weaker team! Although it would be foolish and plastic to suggest you are not still in the title race, we could easily loose or draw against a fighting Norwich tomorrow.
If Liverpool beat Norwich and we get a good result against Atletico then i'd 100% field a weakened team. I'd still play Matic and Salah but there is no point risking injury ahead of what would be out biggest game of the season.
I still have a feeling City & Chelsea have equal chance as Liverpool for the title. Liverpool are due a wobble - and that could put them off very well.. 4 or 5 Games - that is still lot!!
