Seeing as DTLW missed this http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ower-magic-feet-took-Southampton-England.html No7
We are going to get conceited if we carry on getting this coverage...luckily we are kept grounded by our experience as league 1 and Championship fans Adam's two feet are a huge bonus..every week you see a top player fluff a chance because they have to sort their feet out. I remember a coach saying years ago that it is hard to get a player who is a star with one foot to put in the hours to improve the other foot. Like Beckham, Adam has recognised his limitations and worked on the part of the game he can improve. You can get fitter, but you will never get true pace if you haven't got it (depends on the proportions of fast and slow fibres in your muscles which is decided genetically....hence why some races are faster and some have more stamina than others). Another good read.
Maybe Adam's never going to be the quickest in a 60 yard dash. But his balance, vision, and close control will always allow him to steal a yard. As for power, he's clearly getting stronger. I love that he's a bit embarrassed to be compared to Iniesta and Messi - great to see a talented young man so grounded. I have a feeling that after this summer in Brazil, the whole world will know how good he is.
It was posted on another thread... Go to the nominations thread on Adam and Luke and it is there. Not posted by DTLW though
Read the Morgan article... First touch always facing goal... The helps make him appear quick. Speed in football is not always about how fast you can run, but speed of thought and execution of a skill. This is where Adam is quick.
Adam actually said “I’ve never been blessed with out-and-out pace, or out-and-out power, so the technical side of the game is something I have worked hours on end on. I feel that’s a big component of my game so I’ll never stop working on that.”. Slightly different to the title. More accurate article here. I read it last night but I expected DTLW to post it: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...-and-rise-of-the-english-iniesta-9270313.html
When he was talking about the joker in the squad I'm sure he said Jos, yet sky were showing a footage of Yoshida. Did they think he said Yos thinking of Maya?
I think it's the obvious thing to do, really. You recognise your limitations. You know that you will never be as good as others at some aspects of what you do, so you spend hours and hours of your time getting really good. But what happens when you don't post the link first? DTLW must be feeling wretched...
I am beginning to feel that DTLW must be two timing us by having something else in his life...like a life!
I think DTLW needs to be rested - it's been a long season. Maybe he picked up a knock? Or maybe his agent is trying to get him a transfer?
He did and they showed Maya. Shows what little they know. One thing I am surprised about was, who was the fastest..? For me, it's obviously Nat Clyne. I know Luke is quick, but Nat could give an Olympic sprinter a run for his money.
