A few people have been posting their ideas on Twitter regarding the team of the season. Interesting debate going on with people's choices. Here's mine: Begovic (Stoke) Coleman (Everton) Kompany (Man City) Davies (Hull) Baines (Everton) Lallana (Southampton) Toure (Man City) Gerrard (Liverpool) Hazard (Chelsea) Suarez (Liverpool) Sturridge (Liverpool) Let the debating begin!
Marshall (Cardiff) Flanagan (Liverpool) Terry (Chelsea) Cahill (Chelsea) Baines (Everton) Silva (Man City) Toure (Man City) Gerrard (Liverpool) Lallana (Southampton) Sturridge (Liverpool) Suarez (Liverpool)
Speroni (Palace) Ivanovic (Chelsea) Davies (Hull City) Kompany (Man City) Coleman (Everton) Gerrard (Liverpool) Yaya Touré (Man City) Lallana (Saints) Hazard (Chelsea) Suarez (Liverpool) Lambert (Saints)
Don't know how people can put Kompany in. Great player but it must be his reputation as just that clouding people's judgements, take this season in isolation he'd be nowhere near the league's best XI. Cahill & Terry ahead of him easily for a start; Davies, Koscielny, Jagielka, Wilson and others too.

OK, then. Krul, seriously? Last season he was fantastic, but this season he's made a large number of boo-hoos and handed away several points. Also, Willian looks a terrific player, but over the season Hazard's contribution puts him in the shade.
Based on a 3 - 5 - 2 formation mine would be thus : - Howard (Everton) Cahill (Chelsea) Kompany (Man City) Davies (Hull) Baines (Everton) Lallana (Southampton) Toure (Man City) Gerrard (Liverpool) Hazard (Chelsea) Suarez (Liverpool) Aguero (Man City)
I was thinking about keepers and everyone I thought was good has made big errors at some point. I thought Krul had been relatively error-free but maybe I was wrong. McGregor has hardly made a mistake all season but I don't think he's had enough work to do with our defence for him to really win an award. Whoever plays in goal for us hardly has a save to make compared to some other teams. So maybe Marshall then. I don't know what I'm missing with Hazard, he seems a bit over-rated. What exactly is his contribution? He scored a good goal against Newcastle, and a decent one against us, but he seems to go months at a time doing **** all for me. Whereas from what I've seen Willian seems to have a big influence on most games. I considered Sterling too, I think he's done more than Hazard and more consistently.
Good call, very underrated, hardly mentioned. This shows up the weakness of a game like Fantasy Football cos defensive midfielders don't get points. Sidwell too would be on my bench
thought I'd point out the weak links.. Rosenior, Elmohamady, Quinn & Aluko would brighten it up a bit
He's scored 14 goals, for a start. He also has 7 assists. Giving him a total of 21 goals/assists, only Suarez, Rooney & Sturridge have more this season, and Chelsea are far from a free-scoring side. So that's part of his contribution. Willian meanwhile, has 3 goals and 1 assist, a combined total of 4. Obviously stats don't tell the full story but I think they're quite telling. Not quite sure which months he's done **** all in, maybe April, where he's been injured.
