Barton's Bosman Dream....

Last night Joey posted the following.....

Another pointless tweet which to me says that he's doesn't want to leave because he doesn't want to generate the club any money. If he wanted to stay, surely he'd get his head down and get on with things!

As much as i like that lad, this air of arrogance about him and his attitude towards the club is really starting to piss me off.

Barton is turning into a real ****. He wants to leave on a Bosman so he can pick up a nice tidy signing-on fee, it's obvious. People talking about oh we shouldn't sell him because of his passion and his great attitude, he's destabilised the club with his dirty laundry on ****ter more than any other player in recent memory.

If Enrique was supposedly told to take his down then why hasn't Barton been? You hear all the time about people getting in trouble with their bosses for undermining them on a social networking site, it's classless and unprofessional. And he wonders why they won't offer him a nice lucrative contract.

 

I find it very strange how people jump to conclusions about things. All he said was that he wants to stay with the club under his current contract and then leave under the bosman ruling when it expires. It's something he's entitled to do, and it shows his intentions to stay through the rest of his contract if he isn't being offered a new one.

Seems simple enough to me.

 

If he's looking for a nice payday from a free transfer that would presume that he'll put in a decent shift to earn the best he can .. which will be beneficial to NUFC, still think we need Barton in midfield through the first few months of the new season - bedding in the new guys from the start could be disastrous .. if he's still not up for agreeing a new deal in January then, depending on performances, decide whether to flog him on for a nominal fee or keep him to the end of the season to help the cause .. either way I'd like to see the club calling the shots and not JB (not that he is, just dropping cynical little remarks on this twitter thing) ... morning all

 

He could earn a new contract if he just shup up and stopped making comments. Saying you don't want to leave Newcastle and then '#bosmanruling' is quite contradictory. Up till now i would imagine that most of us believed he didn't want to leave and wanted to stay and try and get a new deal, this suggest otherwise.

 

yes he keeps saying he wants to stay because he really does want to stay but not because he really loves newcastle and wants to stay for ever and ever. he might like playing for us but the fact stands he wouldn't sign a contract if it was offered to him now. he wants his cushy pay day next year and has to be making the right noises to the fans here.

 

He put a team mate in hospital, knocked a teenagers teeth out and stubbed a tab out in a kids eye but tweeting about NUFC has turned him into a real ****

To be fair, the stubbing the cigar incident started 'cause the 'kid' (who was only a year and a bit younger than Barton) set the bottom of his shirt alight...That kid has since gone onto prison himself for stabbing his pregnant girlfriend with a fork and punching her in front of their toddler...

Also, I don't think there's too much in this tweet, he knows he's not getting another contract but he wants to see out the year with Newcastle, some may say for money, I personally think it's 'cause he knows he'd make history if he helped us win something!

People take Twitter way too seriously. Pathetic really. The whole site should be closed down, it causes nothing but trouble and I'm sick to death of hearing bullshit transfer rumours and witch-hunts being started because of something someone may or may not have implied in a hash-tag.

He really wants to stay and for the right reasons, he's just frustrated for the same reason i am, because 90% of people believe anything they see in the paper.

He has said loads of times he is sad Nolan is going, and how MA is trying to sell the club, and how he nwants to stay, and loads of people somehow take it as he wants to leave on bosman - he obviously doesn't - this is the second time this has happened
