Good luck to Burnley. Considering the population of the town and competition that is around and a little further South in the county of Lancashire, their attendances are amazing.

Might also see Blackpool swapping places with Preston.

    FT: Blackpool 0-1 Burnley

Burnley will be promoted to the Premier League tonight if Derby fail to take all three points away to Doncaster. Up next on SS1.

Hoping for a Derby win, partially because it increases the chances that QPR has to face Wigan in the playoff semis, partially Burnley's next two are at home, and clinching promotion should always happen at home, and on the pitch.

Will you join our crusade, who will be strong and stand with me?
Beyond the barricade is there a world you long to see?
Then join in the fight that will give you the right to be freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Just out of interest, why are they protesting?

I believe it's because the owners pocketed the Premier League money.

Which might have been a responsible approach (the money pocketed replacing that invested over the years) if it was a one-off, undertaken with the intent of injecting rainy-day cash later rather than getting into the habit of so many overspending Championship teams. But the Oystens also drastically increased the salaries of Blackpool's directors...namely, themselves. And they have continued bleeding money from the club after returning to the Championship by all accounts, and that generally only ends one way.

So basically it's another case of owners sucking a club dry to line their pockets.

    Scum.

We'd be a two football club city, effectively.
