came close to going to the match today, thank goodness i didn't- beginning to wonder why I have 2 Portsmouth tickets in my wallet- oh well it will be a day out in the sun.....

I listened today until it got to 3 - 0 and then switched off the radio. Gutless. Sheridan says he has some difficult decisions to make. I say it isn't that hard to make decisions about this squad. Few of them have the bottle in my opinion.
The game will be a complete let down now with neither side having anything to play for. I think the days of it being a battle of the ports have long gone and it will mean nothing to either the players or the vast majority of the supporters now. Think Pompey fans will feel their season is worse than ours given they were odds on with just about everyone to bounce. A bit more realism next season all around me thinks.
Having listened to the GoS report and Sheridan's comments on the players...I just wonder if he has the ability to motivate and pick the right players and tactics at times....just a thought. I know Wotton is past his sale by date.....but isn't he the only one in the squad at present who's been there and done it when required in the past.....maybe he should of been playing....I don't know just a thought.....he says he wants another season but will Sheridan give him one. I know that next season we will need a captain that can motivate players.....Hourihane ain't that man. There needs to be some clearing out of those who's contracts are due to expire.......Banton of course has a longer contract....who can motivate him to actually do what he did so well last season when he was here. The defence had kept us going earlier in the season even with our poor goal scoring record....but in the end they have been our undoing....is it because Luke isn't there to organize....just a thought.
