    60 years to late but just started listening to the beatles. ROD you must of been in your 20's when they were at the top??

    I grew up with my parents listening to them, but didn't realise I liked them so much until I was into my thirties. My favourite Beatles album is Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club. One of my friends has done a weekend in Liverpool doing the Beatles tour and went to the cavern club.


    But **** off I was 4 (same age as Shiny) when they broke up.

    When I went to see Paul McCartney I was amazed who many younger people was there, as you said four musicians that still sell records fifty years on. Can you imagine anyone now to have the same impact? But you enjoy listening, no disrespect but I think that Wiz could tell you more what it was like around the time they was going<ok>

    Lan, I was there as a 15 year old when it all took off, **** tele, yankee music, out side culture and we all had to abide by it, all of a sudden a wave of free thinking, self expression, UK music, fashion, the pill, mods and rockers, mini skirts, our own cultures, briefly we ruled the world and the Beatles, Stones, Animals, The Moody Blues, The Who, Kinks, Small Faces, Hollies and an explosion of other talent bust out all over, how we eat, dressed, travelled, sexuality, everything changed, we got rid of our chains.

    It was brilliant and some of us still live our dreams, I am proud and happy that I was there and able to enjoy it all.
