    Well before my time but enjoyable viewing & thanks for posting .One point , if you can't run with the ball nowadays then any professional footballer should hang their heads in shame .We're blessed with a one of the best playing surfaces of any club in the UK .

    Good viewing vetch thanks - just a bit before my first Vetch days (but not a lot!) I see some kids were standing at the back of the North bank in my spot directly being the east end tunnel. Hope that Newcastle result wasn't an omen for tomorrow.

    As Matthew says,only in early season.
    Bear in mind though that the Club had three teams playing,viz,first team;combination(reserves),and Welsh League.
    The schoolboys also played there,and the end of season would have the Swansea League Finals,so the pitch took a hammering all season.
    The old girl looked great with those big crowds.
