Big let-off for Charlton as Bolton break. Danns hat Jutkiewicz in space but went for goal, and it balloons over the bar high into the Jimmy Seed Stand.
Full time 0-0. Again, not a bad display, but no goals. At least we didn't lose. Look forward to hearing from those who were there.
Yet another clean sheet for Pope puts York into the play-off positions. They were near the bottom when he joined them. Last minute winner by Michael Smith for Swindon.
Didn't lose at least, but Riga has p!ssed me off today with subs, cousins was poor, obika was poor. Church actually had a stormer by his recent standards, caused problems, linked well, never going to score but made a nuisance of himself and should have had a pen,. Wilson was class and made me glad I voted him for POTY
If we had been given that penalty the ref would have had to give the goalie a red, which might have influenced his decision. Looked a clear penalty from the NW. I thought Morrison Wilson and Poyet were all excellent, but unfortunately they are not attacking players. It was disappointing that Jose decided to play for the point near the end when Hughesy came on for Church.
Sorry Ted but Church was utter cack again. He reminds me of a kitten chasing a ball of string. Wretched slow sideways passing dross again today. Our lack of movement off the ball is now chronic. Very, very hard to see us staying up on our own merits.
So you support the decision to replace a striker, no matter how you feel he is, with a holding midfielder who makes my 53 year old legs look fast.
May have been cack inyour eyes Vol, but did more than Obika and sordell did combined on tuesday and a pen for sure. Never going to score but caused problems all game more than anyone else
I cannot bring myself to talk about strikers when Michael Smith scored again today. Someone needs sacking for that decision. I am confident however that we have just about enough to stay up.
I think Church is cack in everyones eyes Ted. He is a striker who offers no goal threat whatsoever. If we go down, that useless tool will be one of the prime culprits in our demise.
Church could of got up and scored he lay down arms in the air ... We were very average and Riga's decision to settle for a point when we needed 3 embarrassing in the extreme. We won't stay up on our merits but there are some very poor teams in and around us . So we may do due to other teams failings. Riga has lost the plot his decision making gets worse every game.
A few posters on here still struggling to get over their Powell hangovers .... Powell of course being the worst manager in history for clueless substitutions and square pegs in round holes
As far as the front line goes, we are paying the price for a seriesof unforced errors, not strengthening in the summer, letting Kerms go and filling up on untried youngsters as cheaper options. I will always want to win at home, so the 'decent Bolton side' thing does'nt do it for me, but there are pluses today. Three good performances from what I heard from Fox (great, another academy success), Reza (may yet prove to be a decent january signing) and, obviously, Diego. Clean sheet again too. Please on monday, start Reza, the Asteroid, and Morro and Wilson.
We are fortunate to be part of a league where the standards are shockingly poor. I have not seen a single decent side at the valley this season, the bottom 8 teams are piss poor and those above them not much better. I have witnessed the worst cafc team in my 30 plus years of going, the lack of creativity, imagination and lack of Jacobs annoys me beyond belief. The only credit goes to the fans (well those not closely associated with the trust or whatever action group set up this week by the gola trainer and listermint brigade) We deserve better, my kids have probably seen cafc score 8 goals this season and been to about 18 games.
