This thread has lost its way... Wenger's ability to pick a bargain has f*ck all to do with rivals/other teams. FWIW anyone who feels Arsene hasn't picked some great bargains over the years is a tw*t.
What a load of rubbish. I don't know which players you feel propelled Liverpool to league favourites other than Gerrard and Suarez.. You are just spamming garbage now, I really don't have the time or the inclination to refute these any more.
Sturridge, Coutinho, Mignolet... Total of £29.5m. Also massively contributing and brought in by Rodgers (I think). The garbage is coming from you TT. It's clear that Wenger is no better at signing good value players than plenty of other manages. That's my point.
he has bought some truly great players. he has bought some dogsh1t ones. Thats the balance . Some would have us believe Arsene Wenger is a transfer genius who never fails to get nothing but top players for next to nothing. Thats garbage.
well Gerrard and Suarez never scored at all when they thrashed us . so what the hell happened ? Five Ghost goals ? You are the master of garbage.
What the **** has last few pages got to do with 'rivals and other teams'? Keep the Wenger talk on the threads that are about him, i.e, the ' Should Wenger go ' thread or if you want, create a new one about him. I really do not want these tedious arguments spread to every other thread, because that just ruins the entire board, and the people who want to avoid reading these arguments can't avoid them if they are in every other thread, especially in a thread that is dedicated to talking about other teams, ffs. So any more tedious Wenger talk will be deleted on this thread. Simply carry on with the Wenger conversation here http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/255117-Should-Wenger-go
To try and get this back on topic, I am interested to know what everyone thinks about Everton's game against United at the weekend. Man Utd have the best away record in the league, but they have **** all to play for and Everton are going for the CL. I am hopeful, but Everton prefer to face teams like United who come on to them compared to a team like Palace. Sadly, can't see United doing us a favour.
I'm pretty sure that Moyes will be all out to prove something. Everton will go at them and potentially leave themselves open to counter. It all depends upon who is actually fit for Man U.
I reckon Utd will be up for this one. They have improved slightly recently and are beginning to get some results. I know they got soundly beaten by City and Liverpool but they have also put eight past Villa and Newcastle in their last two league games. That defeat to Palace that Everton suffered was a tactical masterstroke from Pulis, and Utd will play a different way but I still think they could beat Everton at OT. If I had to take a punt though I'd go for a 1-1 draw
I think a draw would be the best outcome,If we win and this game's a draw we'd be 12 points ahead of Stretford FC and they'd only have 4 games left.A draw would also put us 3 points ahead of Everton with 3 games to play and a more favourable set of fixtures
I'm sure Stretford FC didn't finish in the top two in 2002 or 2004 either but you'd have to look it up to find out for certain
