    Last weekend was a drag - first had the Cardiff players celebrate their winner right in front of me in the Itchen, then ran the marathon 6 mins slower than planned, then Aberdeen beaten in the semi of the SC by StJohnstone. Meh. Never mind, 2-1 Saints tomorrow and Aberdeen win tonight and it`s a wonderful world again.

    It's a game that we should be winning, but I wouldn't be surprised if we don't.

    Firstly, Villa need the points much more than we do.

    Secondly, without Jay's pace I can once again see us struggling to get through. That inevitably will lead to us pushing an extra body or two forward, and that in turn will no doubt lead to Villa hitting us on the counter. It's how they seem to play under Lambert.

    In Rickie's interview on SaintsPlayer he says it was about Villa trying to wind up 'one of our players at the time to get him sent off' (Osvaldo), which the saints team didn't like.
