Its nice to see the game on TV. Well done BT. Can only help raise the profile and revenue. Or has it been on elsewhere and I've just missed it?
Does anyone else despite terrified of jinxing us keep finding themselves just staring at the table..... League table.....not kitchen, coffee or round.
No such thing as jynx so as long as you enjoy it and don't let yourself go nuts if we slip up it's perfectly fine and normal behaviour.... For a 12 year old. I myself find that my joie de vie for football has been restore to said childlike state and said the song goes "I just can't get enough" of coverage, commentary, press hack talk.... And of course rival moaning.... This I feel a season of healing has arrived to cure the ills of g&h finally and the heartfelt desire of more than 20 years, to see lfC win a title is coming to pass. Through every success we've had in the 2001-2006 period which after all had 5 major trophies I really held that desire, just to see one! So look at the table, scream at every goal, mistake, disaster or triumph as frankly in this league, win or lose this season is epic, it will heal our club, give us belief, tell the worlds players that this is a club to join if they've a choice between us and spurs for example but most of all..... It's now ok to dream, it's ok to say you know what f 4th place and low expectations, as long as everyone pulls together to achieve then dream!
I share a lot of those emotions. If we are honest then I think we all do. It's the tension that's killing us - we love it and we hate it. You can read it throughout our threads with the #nojinx. I've been so proud this season of our club and our team. Some of the football that we have produced has been sublime. Even the loses over the Christmas period left me proud with the quality of our displays. The team has grown, the management have grown (particularly in the cahoonas area) and they have dragged us supporters to the point where we finally believe. Look at the atmosphere at Anfield. For too long it has been quiet, a pale shadow of its former self. Now don't look at it, just listen. Yet there's a cost to be paid. The prize is so close that we fear that some baddie is going to steal it away. We can do nothing about it and that makes life worse. Well I've made a decision not to live in and with that anxiety. I've had a wonderful season so far - far better than I could have hoped for at the end of last season so I'm more than happy as things stand. Whatever happens from here on in, nobody can deny that Liverpool are back as a distinctive, attractive and truly top top side. So we are allowed to dream and is so doing believe. As fans we can't lose - we've already won! So it's full steam ahead, 1 game at a time until a wonderful season ends. COYR
i kind love love the tension cos i am kind of more dreading looking back when its over. i don't want it to end. i am certainly viewing this as a no lose scenario so i just i'm not getting the dread of it not going right. I can say o there are some chelsea "fans" on not606 who will crow if they win it but thats not bothering me. you are right dave the BIGGEST fear i thought should be LFC were headed for being just another team, just a rational choice for a player to choose spurs cos they offer 10k more per week or whatever. I think this shows that things change, thing go in cycles but lfc should never be that far from a cup final or great season even if its intermittent due to others resources but we are not just another club. why? because we've worked hard not to be rather than having a dive right to it. i feel you are right, we have already won... we'ce won our pride back and it should swell all our chests collectively, not in a disrespectful way of others but in the love of our club. respect, loyalty, pride. Thank ou FSG, thank you kenny dalglish (who else would sit with tom warner and john henry i ask you...) thank you brendan rodgers and tank you each and every player.
The only time I'm nervous is from the kick-off, until such time in the game when I think it's won (usually the final whistle). In the build up I'm excited, not nervous.
No holiday for me as I am fulfilling my last days in the government job. Zingy sent another pic btw. please log in to view this image
