Oakwell - K.O 15:00

Barnsley are the hosts for this weekend's fixture, with Leeds on the road again, hoping to end a dismal run of away performances. Barnsley grabbed a crucial win at Charlton in midweek and are now just two points behind the fourth bottom Addicks. The Tykes have won three of their last six games and will need similar form if they are going to pull off a great escape.

Leeds finally ended their six game winless run by beating Blackpool last weekend and in doing so confirmed their league safety. Brian McDermott has been given until the end of the season to impress the new owners but what the summer has in store for the Elland Road club is anyone's guess.

Historically Barnsley have the narrowest of upper hands, and are the team in the better form at the moment, and with more to play for. They have been poor at home failing to score at home on the last 4 occasions. Leeds will hope to use that to their advantage to end a run of 4 defeats in a row away from Elland Road.

• Leeds have been losing at both half time and full time in their last 3 away matches in Championship.
• Leeds have lost their last 4 away matches in Championship.
• There have been under 2.5 goals scored in 5 of Barnsley's last 6 home games in Championship.

Assuming Byram is back to fitness, he comes back into the side for me with Wooton replacing Lees in a back 5 (or 3) otherwise unchanged from the side that beat Blackpool.

Barnsley need this result more than Leeds, but the fact that it is a Yorkshire derby I hope will see us through. They've been poor at home, and hopefully we can capitalise on that and take 3 points here. McDermott has said that he is currently drawing up the list of people who will be here next year, so everyone in the side has a point to prove at this stage in the season.

Aidy White to start on one side of the defence, preferably with Warnock on the other, and just two centre backs - Pearce plus either Wootton or Zaliukas. Lees can go on holiday.

Midfield of Brown, Murphy, Byram and Tonge

Up front start with Hunt and McCormack, bringing on Smith after an hour

Cannot agree:

1. We should really play with 11 players. I would recommend that we make use of a specialist goalkeeper as the 11th man!
2. Agree with your CB suggestion - indeed perhaps drop Pearce to the bench to look at the other 2 as a pairing. We know all about Pearce.
3. Warnock at LB, I think, & probably Thompson getting a run at RB. Lees as a poor 2nd choice. White can GTF. He's had 4,227,346 last chances already (well, it feels like that!). I've got a car that can go fast, and it can probably tackle & cross better than White.
4. Byram's hammy has probably ruled him out for the rest of the season.
5. Would probably go with the other 3 in midfield in a 4-3-3 formation, allowing all 3 of your forward choices to play.
6. Ignore me. What do I know about football - I watch Leeds!

This is one we should win at a canter. 3-1 Leeds. Ross to get 2 & a resurgant Murphy getting another.

Is Ross over his cold yet or does that depend on his performance tomorrow ;)

If he is then I will go for a narrow 2-1 win for us, can't remember the last time we won two on the bounce, was it last year?

Good news for those that cannot attend the match.

Game is being shown on New Zealand and various Eastern European tv channels.

Should be able to find a working link to watch the game.

Enjoy! <ok>

Decided not to go so we will no doubt turn a seasons best performance. Or because I have cash invested on the result we will get hammered. Take your pick.
