You've been banging on about this for weeks Vetch. Would you prefer to play Palace, WBA and Hull or Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea? I'd prefer the first three, in the knowledge that we should have a BETTER CHANCE OF WINNING (hence they are "easier" opponents). That said, it does not imply that any points are nailed on. You're taking people's comments too literally.
Simple, there are no easy teams , there are easier teams .... the later is referencing harder teams. A game against Palace is easier than against Chelsea , but Palace isnt an easy team .
I picked up on the use of the word "easy" since it was being used,I felt,in a very arrogant and derogatory manner towards certain teams. As it's turned out, not many points have accrued from those "easy" encounters, and The Swans' have slid inexorably down the table, with the "easy" teams going in the opposite direction. The irony is not wasted on me,and I notice that the "easy" labels haven't been used for a while.
considering we got wipped by west brom and Hull, that must make us the "easiest " team to play against.
You got that right,Norway. Teams have been licking their lips at the prospect of playing Swansea for quite some time now.
In fairness to you , I may have used the word " easy " back when I was angry with Laudrups dismissal , but if I did , it was in the spirit of referencing " hard " teams such as Chelsea , you are being to literal imo
I don't remember the posters who used the word, breezy, and I am not inferring that you were one of them. Anyway, this discussion has brightened up the afternoon,if nothing else.
Define luck, breezy, and then ask yourself how much luck The Swans' have enjoyed. To blame poor performances on "luck" is just a cop out,in fact, an "easy" way out.
What a pile of pants. Williams should concentrate on learning how to defend properly instead of blathering on about ****ing luck. By the way Ash, that includes not allowing the ball to bounce when you've got a strong, mobile forward like Ba lurking nearby. Learn from your many mistakes, pal and stop talking bollocks. This is almost as bad as Rangel whingeing about the Hull result when it was his ****ing fault they scored! Just in case you misinterpereted my views, I think he's wrong.
Your right vetch , there are no easy teams, but there are easier teams than some and is what most are eluding to imo.
"Luck" is very intangible. One man's "luck" is another man's misfortune. The vanquished cry out,"I/we were robbed by bad luck",whilst the victor quietly contemplates his/her efficiency in the manner of their victory. Losers usually blame their bad "luck",rarely acknowledging their inadequacies.
I think breezy has played the luck card too often for it to be satirical. But,I'm sure he will confirm that,or otherwise,if our "luck" holds out.
All I was saying is looking at points and goal differencial between Newcastle and Swansea there is a pretty good chance that castle have had a fair bit of luck and we havent.... you can try to tell me what I meant vetch but at the very least I dont have to believe you. I sincerely believe we have been very unlucky ... full stop ! Its not an excuse , its what I believe .
