Is it just me, or does anyone else think that Barca could do with a big man up front, and they can play Messi in his old position on the right. I just think you need a plan B at times, and as brilliant as Messi is, he is never going to win many aerial battles. His team are continually expected to thread the ball through the eye of the needle, and against the best sides that can be hard to do. Barcelona are obviously struggling on all fronts, and I think this is because teams have worked them out. They are quite happy to pack the middle of the pitch and say to Barca, try and pass through us. Sometimes they will, but it is always better to have another option. With Barca's accuracy of passing, surely a big man who's good in the air would thrive in that team, as they'd easily pick him out
Yeh I think they're missing out on dominating for another few seasons. It's like all managers after Pep feel obliged to play his way. Someone like Etoo again would be ideal, but why not use Neymar in that role?? Fabregas on the right or left forward role is a waste as well.
Well yeah because atleast Eto'o was versatile and would play out wide in some games, to allow Messi inside. They obviously had Ibra but his ego was to big to accept not being the main man, and having to play wide on occasions
barca keeper is awful... also they lack players from wide .. to take you on ..instead they rather pass you to death and poor messi gets crowded oot all the time .. messi and iniesta a class above there team mates. thats why Madrid can beat them now ..if ramos and pepe keep calm like .. they basicly have players that can hurt you by pace and skill ..instead of pass pass pass .. then lose on the edge of the box.. just my view
it was a good goal alwighty. There have been some cracking goals in the PL this season. Who'd you reckon has the goal of the season so far?
me being biased - Rooney's against West Ham. Putting my non-United hat on - probably Tettey's volley.
Rooney's never, if there was a keeper in the goal to beat then yeah but the keeper was going for a sandwich or something Tettey's volley though, something else, a good shout
Sisu, Alonso score a similar goal to Rooney's, i bet you were saying it was goal of the season back then.
Amalfatano's lob for WBA a few weeks ago was outrageous, I think that should be goal of the season. If that was a more high profile player, Like Rooney or Suarez it would piss the award. Doubt it'll even get a mention though
