Jose has had pre made excuses, actually made for him by Chelsea fans in case he doesn't land a trophy, "unbalanced squad" is the current flavour of excuse, Rafa had the same squad minus Jose's additions with 2\3rds of a season as well and no summer to prepare.

Jose Spent about £100m and will spend same again this summer, just over 12 months, £200m on players, that's hardly as good an advantage as playing no CL footie

 

Chelsea sack managers for winning things never mind not winning, imagine what they'd do to someone finishing seventh...

You're missing the point still.
Fewer games may well be advantageous to us in terms of points gained, but having greater squad depth is advantageous to you in competing on different fronts.
Trying to say which advantage is greater is pointless and will always come down to one's own club loyalties, it's hardly objective.
All I'm saying is that should Liverpool win the league (still by no means certain), then other clubs may try to gloss over their own inadequacies by convincing themselves we had some sort of unfair advantage.
They'll only be fooling themselves.

 

For the life of me I can't figure out why Chelsea didn't do so well when they were not in Europe for all of those years and years. I guess I missed the bit where they won so many leagues while not in Europe.

For me it's strange logic by the bitters. Every year the league gets won by a team playing in the CL that season.
The one year this might not happen and it's "All down to not being in Europe". Pathetic imo
