I haven't a problem with being in Europe, but celebrating Palace winning, threads about losing to Arse just so we can get into Europe, not even bothering about winning the Cup, just getting into Europe, also the money from the Cup is **** unless we win it, even then not as much as losing places in the league according to some people on here who quote the figures, also if we don't win the Cup then our season starts in July, if we lose to some random nobody team we won't make any money from our "European dream." Finally of course we won't be back at Wembley next season for the Community Shield.
The only way to maximize satisfaction on all fronts (aesthetically, financially, "global exposure" and "**** the teams we hate" ) is to win our remaining 6 games this season. Not totally impossible, but we may need a little begrudged help from Arsenal and other teams playing Everton & our relegation rivals. Entry into Europe should be our lowest priority, but as it stands with the remaining fixtures for the teams involved in our destiny, it's achievable to maximize all. 1/2 full glass methinks.
No one should ever want us to lose. Anyone wanting us to lose to Arsenal just so they solidify 4th place so we get into Europe should be slapped.
There's a world of difference between wanting Everton to lose to Palace so we are more likely to get into Europe and wanting us to lose to Arsenal.
We beat Arsenal on Sunday and Everton on the last day it counters the whole theory, so wanting us to win every game and go into the cup final on feel good factor and becoming FA champions is the way we should qualify for Europe. FA cup winners, premier league and Europe will attract top quality signings this is all we should care about, **** Arse and Everton they are not our problem.
But they are. If we don't beat Arsenal at Wembley we have to hope that Arsenal beat Everton to 4th place if we want to get into Europe.
i want us to beat Arsenal and then take it to the last game where maybe we need to beat Everton - what will be will be whatever , its good that Arsenal will have a trying end of season hopefully to our advantage in the cup
