Enjoy the wedding Leo and good luck with the speech. Congratulations to all your daughters!

We thought about going to the Viking exhibition but after watching a tv programme about them (interesting )and the exhibition (looked uninspiring) we decided it was not worth the long journey.

My Australian cousin is coming over for last minute trip to Europe. She has had cancer in the past and I fear the worst as she said she would explain all on arrival. She is staying with my Bro in Swindon and we will have to do the Skype thing over the weekend. Hopefully the visit will be for a more positive reason.

Strange coincidence - our former neighbours from Oz are currently visiting their relatives in Swindon...

I'm off down to Edinburgh in a while - have to pick up No.1 son in Aberdeen and take him for an audition at Napier University, where he is hoping to study music. Hoping there is no repeat of last week's visit to that fair city, when a bad accident on the city by-pass meant we were stuck in a traffic jam for over two hours.....

Call me slow, but it's just dawned on me that we are playing QPR on Monday - the day I start back at work, so I'll miss it. <grr>

Morning all, looks like another fine day ahead here. Hoping to find time this weekend to get back into football mode. Pub I was in last Saturday didn't even have a mobile phone signal let alone WiFi. Results service will be available for those without connection to the outside world. ;)

They are reporting that the M25 will be slow today. Last weekend the area around Heathrow was crawling at 20 mph for mile after mile. I dread to think what it will be like today. <yikes>

Have a good day whatever you are at. <ok>

Morning all from a bright and sunny bandit country. Been a busy morning so far, dropped daughter at the station, been to Tesco, made Mrs W_Y breakfast in bed. Off out later to take the pa-in-law out for lunch while Mrs W_Y continues with finishing off her dissertation.
Sorry BB, couldn't resist it, but surprised you are working on Easter Monday. When there are differences between national holidays in Scotland like 2nd Jan, I usually get a request to reset the clock for the engineers based in Scotland. Mind you, this way round will benefit them, so that's probably why my phone is not ringing!

The fjöll still have snow but none is in the town.

Someone attacked the church in Akureyri yesterday. They burned the doors. The priest thinks it was organised deliberately and not a
    drunk youth activity.

The trouble with the Easter Holiday is that God keeps moving the goal posts. Sensibly some schools up here just say sod it, We will have the Easter break at the same time each year..
