Just been thinking we have a new man at the helm facing the trial of his life. If it were you in his shoes what would you now be saying to the players huddled around you in a circle. I've thought about this but would greatly like to hear the opinions of others?

I don't know what Steven Gerrard said to his teammates in their huddle at the end of the Man City match, but some of that would be good.

How great it would be to have someone inspirational like that in our set-up. Sadly, can't think of anyone, Neil Adams included. Sorry.

Pretty sure it was: "this is done, we go to Norwich, we focus on them now."

Not sure we match the passion and desire of that one man in our entire team.

We have some players who care greatly for this club but they can't stir up their team-mates in the same way.

It's no coincidence that the season we lose Grant Holt is the season it all falls apart (although we CAN still stay up). People outside this club have no idea how good that man was for us. It still pisses me off to hear his name used as an example of a **** Norwich player ("their main striker last year was Grant Holt").

    On the Ball City.

Yup people underestimate the title talisman. I still think had Snodgrass been made captain things may have been different he just seems to have the drive and passion that Bassong seems to lack

Sorry guys can we focus again on precise instructions and motivational stuff for those in yellow shirts! Our shortcomings are well known - how do we do it for the next four! Sorry I'm getting really interested in how we do this

If Sunderland can get a point off Man City and Crystal Palace beat Everton away believe you can get points in everyone of these games!!!!!!

    Brilliantly said HfM.

In hindsight, Bassong was the wrong choice for captain and I'm sure his mistakes have cost us more points than any other player this season. I can think of 4 points easily - the home games against Swansea and Stoke come to mind. With those 4 points on the board, we'd b almost GUARANTEED safety!

    This <ok>

If some of us can be optimistic despite realists then I reckon our players might just manage a bit of self belief just enough to attempt to hurl their bodies over the finish line

It's not looking good for you! Didn't expect this relegation struggle even a few weeks ago.
TBH when you came to Liberty you were truly awful, nothing like we've come to expect. Compare that performance recent games of Fulham, Palace and even Cardiff and I can't see you staying up. We (Swans) could be facing each other again next season though. Just as well I enjoy my visits to Norfolk.
If you do beat the drop I really hope it's at the expense of Sunderland, Fulham and Cardiff and not us!
Enjoy the rest of the season.

In the same vein as another Norwich old boy - Nelson (the naval one not our defender)

"Norwich expects that every man will do his duty."

Failing that get the Youth team in to give them a pep talk.
