I can't believe that Arsenal are looking for the same calibre of player we are tbh ...

Wasn't willing to move to us in a world cup year, thats dedication for you, if Pearson wants him, it will haveto be before the world cup.

Right-back - now been capped for full Netherlands team ... Sagna may be leaving Arsenal in the close season ... you never know ...

Janmaat would be an excellent signing.

Strong, pacey and gets up and down that wing just as well as RDL does, but this bloke knows how to defend as well <ok>

Im not sure whether you are praising or criticising this decision of his but that can only be a good thing. Someone who puts his football first.

I don't particularly like the fact that we aren't good enough for him until we get to the Premier League, he could have come here in January (as the report states) and shown how good he was for a club at the top of the league.

It would have been better for him to come to us rather than goto somewhere like Fulham or Cardiff where they are letting in goals-a-plenty.

We've had a player who put country before club before, think his name was Sean St Ledger... what happened to him?

I think this is different Wizard - this is a World Cup year and he's opted to stay with Feyenord in the top Dutch league rather than join a side in the second tier of English football ... I can't really find fault with that tbf either from a 'loyalty' or 'ambition' perspective .. England are unlikely to be taking any Championship players to Brazil - similarly most of the other more established European sides going to the World cup ...

Ive not really followed him, i guess as a free transfer, it couldn't hurt.

I wonder if we'd plump for a freebie over the "price tags" like McCormack, Austin and Rhodes. I know we havn't been linked with the last 2 yet, but give it time ...

Bit harsh Ed IMO. Also been linked with Sako from Wolves today.

Sako is so Lazy one minute & effective the next. He´s had a good season for Wolves (alot of the time) but it was lge 1. Verdict; Not for me

Wanted Sako at the start of last season and he is indeed a handful ... but with Mahrez, Knocky and Dyer, a left footed winger is arguably not the priority ... mind you the guy has the build to play as a centre-forward ... undoubtedly a talent and has one hell of a strike on him ...

Sako is very very good but yes - left footed wingers is something which we do appear to be inundated with atm!

Maybe im harsh but i really do think that Macheda is one of the worst strikers that ive seen at this level. So so ineffective a lot of the time. I know he has done well recently but that i believe is down to some good form, like all strikers get at some point, rather than ability (if that makes any sense)
