Just read on our board that Giroud dedicated his goal last night to the families of the 96. I an tell you that is much appreciated by all of us.

I do not like Liverpool, as a club. But I don't think anyone could fail to be moved by the marking of the Hillsborough disaster and the efforts by the families to get justice for their loved ones. I hope they get it.

I was tempted to simply delete this comment, but I want to give you the benefit of the doubt for a moment and also give you the opportunity to convince me that what reads like an extremely offensive comment wasn't meant in that way at all. If you can ?

    whats offensive about it. ?

CYM said that "all of our thoughts "

well , mine dont , he can speak for himself .

I dont want him speaking for me .

It was a horrible series of accidental mistakes that led to 96 people being killed accidentally ..

There was a police cover up , well , thats never happened before has it. ?

It was a long time ago...so i dont think about it .

    Whats so hard to understand.?

I will focus on people who are being killed deliberately , today .

    call me an idealist .

i support helpforsyria, Amnesty International .

In a situation where 300 odd people die every day by deliberate attack , i wont sit in my armchair and wring my hands over tragic accident 25 years ago.

    Work to be done.

Because it was a significant anniversary where the whole of the football community came together to remember those that died. It's not 'hand wringing' at all and personally I find that to be an insensitive comment. But anyway I don't want this subject to be used to turn this into and endless back and forth with you about it.

Because anniversaries of accidents are remembered as a sign of respect to families who have lost loved ones. It was a particularly shocking incident for the football community and therefore is remembered in football. No one is expecting hand-wringing, or personal grief over the incident, but they do expect respect, which by denigrating the event you are not showing.

This thread is pointless now. The game is over and the last few comments has nothing to do with the West Ham game.

The inquest that is currently taking place will decide if "accidental mistakes" led to 96 people dying "accidentally"
The other two enquiries taking place into the conduct of the police at Hillsborough have also to come to a decision
