This is the quote from Barnsley (not Wilson) - "It was a case of total incompetence and unprofessionalism from Bristol City Football Club for not locking the changing rooms. Our academy manager Ronnie Branson is writing a report to the FA and the first team manager Danny Wilson was furious with Bristol City (his former club) when we told him. The lads had personal photos and videos on their phones which had sentimental value." While the incident is of course bad and really annoying, I don't think quotes like this in public particularily help
I don't blame him for being upset, and I hope that it is all aired out in public. A manager has to be behind his players at all times. Any good manager always would be, whether it's a dispute about pay or whether it's about stolen goods from a rival stadium. I played at youth level, and one of the first things done at every level is to make sure the changing rooms are locked once everyone is finished in there. It's nothing more than basic common sense. If what they say is true and that the changing rooms weren't locked, then Bristol City owe the club and the players a sincere and public apology. As a side note, thirteen iPhones?! I know footballers are often thick as ****, but you'd think that with a bit of money they'd have the sense to get a proper phone.
When we played were told not to leave valuables in the dressing room - I guess if City told them it would be locked and then it wasn't it would be our fault
leave valuables at your own risk even if the changing rooms was locked the thieving barstewards will find a way in. and I am still furious with Danny Wilson after his epic fail at the play-off final I am still shocked that he is still a football league manager
I agree, an awful team selection and pish poor performance, I left the Millennium so gutted that day.
I was more gutted that day than when we lost against Hull - I think because that day at Cardiff I thought we would win whereas against Hull I didn't
CJS, with a relegation from the ranks of professional football looming large for you Gasheads, is now really the right time too come and throw stones at our windows......
im not throwing stones. i was joking with smhbcfc. someone who i respect may i add. when you are down in the dumps, you are still allowed to joke. sometimes humour is the only thing that can pick you up!
The footballers had 'personal photos' on those phones. They must be sh!tting themselves that some of those roasting videos and photos of themselves with their trousers down, and the rest, don't make it into the papers. Danny Wilson was upset as he could see the end of 13 footballers careers right there.
