At the end of the day, everybody's life is pretty pointless. Even mine.

Where do you get that impression? You've just plucked all that out of thin air. For one, I don't live in a flat.

Whereas we know for a fact that your reason d'etre is to spend evenings and weekends with fellow biddies forcing your opinions and political stances down the throats of those who, for the most part, couldn't give a flying **** about it.

You mean I have a life and purpose. You may not agree with it or even care but at least I'm doing something. You? A cynical, 29 year old virgin who does what with his life? Sweet **** all, that's what.

Away and shag someone. Anyone. Male, female, other it doesn't matter. Once you've got that out of the way your whole perspective on life will change <ok>

What is your purpose? I genuinely don't know.

To help Venom lose his virginity. It's a tough task but someone has to do it.

Is there a graph for consumption of Ace lager, microwave chips and rolling tobacco?

    That should solve this argument.

    ST - everyone's favourite Postie.

Well, I suppose it's better than walking the streets.

Is that what ST does? I haven't been paying attention - I always had him down as doing some kind of gay job, like a Tree Surgeon or something.

Did you call yourself Venom because you're built like a snake?

Are you called Mind the Duck because you engage in homosexual necrophilia?

55p for that ****, I guess the poor don't buy it and can't afford to read it on the internet.

Otherwise it should come with a government health warning. Do not buy this tabloid and save yourself £171+ per year = less cheap food and less obesity.

It's complex. On the one hand it is shocking that 1 million people have to rely on them but, as you very rightly say, it's also good that some form of help is available. The alternative would be to not do anything and pretty much just starve them to death.

The Mirror's 'Crying Child' is actually from Los Angeles... it's a good old fashioned mopefest over a blunt statistic that isn't in any sort of context. Has anybody even checked to see if two out of every hundred people who really can't afford food - or is it people like Jonno who are just looking for a bargain?
