Yeah, I was happy when I saw him kissing the armband, but wanted to wait for official confirmation until he said it was for the victims. Good on him.
Ya that was class. Always good to see when football players or clubs recognize things like this and that it is bigger than the game.
I don't care what he's done or said. He learnt what happened and decided that he would dedicate the goal. That was the act of a gentleman.
It was a strange situation at Wembley on Saturday,it started off as a minutes silence then some started applauding some Arsenal then started chanting "Justice for the 96". The sentiment was the same though. There are some reports that a few scum West Ham fans tried to ruin the minutes silence last night
You can't be held responsible for the actions of the mindless few. All you can do is pity the mentality of people like that.
I didn't want to make another thread on this, so putting it in here as it's also tied to Hillsborough http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news...l-brand-pledges-donation-hillsborough-6996005 Always thought he was an absolute prick, but that's a top gesture from the man
My answer to when tw*ts like Giroud or Russell Brand do a nice gestures such as honouring the 96 is "Nice gesture and thanks, but you're still a twa*t"
