Well he is a ******ed scouser so that is to be expected..<laugh>

I remember at the same time that Ronaldo was bought Arsenal bought a player called Reyes at exactly the same price. 12 million?. Ronaldo was all flicks and stepovers. Reyses had been scoring goals and I rember to this day the comments that Arsenal fans AND journos were making in comparing the too. How Reyes had been such a huge sucess compared to the flop that Fergie bought etc. That Ronaldo was worth only one third of that price. Where are they now?

Well it is a slightly unusual team building plan: outside in or front to back.

Different era I know but many managers used to build back to front adding the flair players last. United went about it the wrong way ... Panic buying mata when they needed a Matic .

Useless moyes needed to buy a solid CM like Matic over another no 10 like Mata (in addition to Kagawa, Rooney, Janu and Fellaini who can all play in the red zone .... the AM/no 10/second striker area)

Team building can involve sorting the key positions out first... Such as A solid CM... Gattuso type and adding the regista type (Pirlo) later.

Chelsea left it six months too late to sort the key position out in the team with Matic. And our team lacked balance until we got him.
It will probably cost us the title
Moyes needs to sort this position out as priority over signing a regista (Kroos) or trequartistas (mata).

Carvalho sounds like your key signing to me

As long as they get both I guess it doesn't matter what order they are signed in though? Think it's all smoke and mirrors myself. Struggling to see a single reason why he'd go to United. If he's available at a decent price, any club in Europe would want him and he'd have better short term options. A Moyes led United out of the C.L is not the most attractive proposition for a proven world class player used to competing at the very top.

Dont't tell them that. I just want Kroos to come to us! Seriously though, you can argue you sign get your water carriers in first then flair later.

If they get both then that is fantastic for them.

We've made the mistake of chasing a regista such as Modric when we needed a quality DM first.

Would Jose be interested in Kroos? Matic-Kroos feeding our three quarters and Costa would be tasty.

With such a midfield and a change in manager, we would be a far different side to the ****e we have been this season.

He probably would be, but getting a world class striker in Diego Costa for 50 million and paying him 180k a week, is more of a priority than getting Kroos for 30, and paying him 260 a week. I'm not your finance manager, but I wouldn't imagine you could get both with the new FFP rules coming in. After all you've already spent more than any other PL side this season. Perhaps winning the CL could create more funds , but that is still a big ask at this stage:biggrin:

Where does the 50m come from? Are you including wages? It's a well known fact that costa's release clause is £32m.

We desperately needed a striker but getting Matic gave our side balance and maybe was more important imho.
I'd like us to have two quality DMs next season whether creative types or destroyers or both. City have Ferdy and Ya ya.
    PSG have two good DMs.
Bayern have Thiago, Schweini plus Lahm (and Kroos too)
I think we need two new strikers btw not just one

Ah right I thought you was paying 50 for him, didn't realise there was a clause. The 50 I read in the paper must have been including wages

Do Bayern have a set wage structure. I think Ribery is best paid on £205,000 a week followed by Lahm, Gotze and Schweini.

According to Sporting Intelligence they pay bigger wages than you: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27046221

But this survey may be before the crazy Rooney and Mata wages

"We have not received any official contract offer [from Manchester United]," Struth told BILD.

"There is also no need to submit an offer as Toni will be with Bayern Munich until June 2015."

What's also important is Pep's remarks, which hardly shows a personal desire to keep him.

"We want to carry on with Toni Kroos. Still, it will be his decision in the end."

    So weve signed him.

The agent has no reason to respond unless hes trying to deflect attention away from the deal.

    Welcome to United Kroos.

I don't know about that <laugh> but it's unusual for a thieving little parasite errrrm I mean "football agent" to be advising his player to stay instead of trying to carve out a tidy commission for himself.

Not another Ronaldo's coming fiasco, when all the signs point to him not coming, UIR sees this as an elaborate ruse. Signed Ronaldo yet?

They may pay Ribery that, but if they pay Kroos what he wants then the rest of them will be wanting a pay rise, the likes of Ribery, Robben, Shweinstieger, Lahm etc etc will all be wanting a rise:biggrin:

He does not want parity with Ribery, 12m a year... only with Lahm, Schweinstiger and Gotze: 10m euro a year.

And it is the same at all clubs. Players want pay rises. But that does not mean others want a pay rise. lam might want to wait a year or two before negotiating a new deal

Might do, but we don't have as many high profile players as Bayern. I doubt the likes of Fellaini, Young, Valencia and Cleverley will be knocking on the managers door wanting to be on parity with Rooney:biggrin:
