    Yes, I remember him saying it amidst a chat between Lineker, Shearer and Himself. The other two were wondering if Jay should go to Brazil [sad for Jay] rather than Rickie, and perhaps both should go anyway. Then Savage said his line and Lineker looked bemusedly into the camera before moving on. Shearer grinned.

    Am I wrong or is Shearer getting less boring..? :)

    I've started to dislike Puncheon scoring as it leads to the inevitable, and slightly weird under the widely known circumstances, people whining "why didn't we keep him"......

    He was a good player for us. Despite the circumstances, there isn't any harm in fans saying that he would have been good for us if he had stayed.

    If Punch wanted to go because of family reasons then fair enough. I think £1.5m was an incredible bargain for Palace though.

    Far too cheap, we should have strung it out, they'd have been lots of clubs in for him in the summer for 5-6mill. Bad decision....family reasons or not. Good luck to the lad though, he's worked hard & looks a good premiership player.
