http://www.southwales-eveningpost.c...ulous-player/story-20963447-detail/story.html Happy Birthday ,a club legend in the truest sense
Ranks alongside Ivor Allchurch when it comes to Swansea legends. Can't say more than that. Happy birthday,Alan, and thanks for the memories.
Let's hope no one gives him the bumps in training or the Mail will be reporting on further violence!! Happy birthday Curt enjoy the day As much as we've enjoyed your play You know that as time passes You're allowed to put your feet up And begin by putting them up Our players (can't think of a rhyme).
A true legend definitely and those of us of a certain age will never forget his contribution during our last time in the top flight. But not wishing to throw a spanner in the works is he really a "fine coach"? I confess I don't actually know the extent of his input or his abilities. We have a tendency at this Club to give jobs to the boys don't we? Rodgers' rather useless number two springs to mind as well as Monk. He may well be a brilliant coach but if that's right why isn't he the Manager? This isn't being disrespectful as he is a Swansea legend no doubt but the question is a valid one.
Someone come to spoil the party I see . Both man management and Coaching and passing on your knowledge takes a certain type ,he's not happy in the limelight and knows his limitations .I'd hate to see his time left with us end on a sour note .Thanks for the memories
Spoil the party? You're being ridiculous. Who said anything about him leaving? Who said anything about sour notes? I honestly don't know if he's a "fine coach" as quoted in the article or not. Do you? What I do know is that he's part of the coaching staff and they should all collectively take some responsibility for the mess we're in. Legend or not.
Chill out ffs , I bet he pulled open the curtains this fine morning thinking "**** how have got away with it for so long " popped downstairs for a cuppa, opened his cards then logged onto here to see someone's not happy , oh well never mind ,it's still my birthday and its a sunny day. sorted .
Big 60! looking good for his age, he's older than me but not by much, a real gent, did you know he played for Mumbles?.........................
Bound: I'm perfectly chilled thanks. Quite relaxed in fact. I've already said I think he's one of the few genuine Swansea legends around that deserve that title and I actually think he's a decent guy having met him many times through a mutual acquaintance. Pardon me for pointing out he is part of the coaching staff too. I was referring to the title of the article where it says he's a "fine coach". Is he? I honestly don't know. I'm not having a dig at him BUT I do know where we are in the League and that Curt is part of the backroom staff. Therefore I'm entitled to ask the question why the title includes the phrase "fine coach" as I've never seen anyone refer to him in those terms before. Or am I supposed to say "Swansea Legend, have a great day and our current points total doesn't mean anything cos you don't have any responsbility whatsoever for that and oh well it's your birthday". Get real.
I really can'y be arsed to get into a war of words with you but stay on topic if you don't mind ,if you want a Curtis bashing thread then create your own .
. No war intended and I'm not bashing anyone. It's very much on topic as the article in your link referred to him as a "fine coach". Do you agree with that assessment or not? Is he? I'm asking, not bashing. I genuinely don't know. But I do know where we are in the League. It's a forum ffs and if issues can't be raised and discussed then what's the point? If you want to create threads where everyone just agrees with you and tells you how great we all are then knock yourself out.
What's to agree , I posted it was his birthday ,he's a club legend, if you want to look into something deeper crack on .or better still complain to someone who actually gives a f**k.
Sorry Matt. Didn't realise you thought me questioning the use of the words "fine coach" in your link was a too 'deep' for you. **** me lucky I didn't raise the finer points of Nietzsche or you'd be in a real mess. Happy birthday Curt!
