Another player returning to form at the right time.

    Great news!

I don't think he's necessarily 'one for the future' though.

But right here, right now - it's a timely return to fitness and form.

Let's not forget that he, Bobby Zamora, Nico Kranjcar, Yossi Benayoun, Joey Barton, Jermaine Jenas and perhaps others have all played at Wembley (scored too in some cases).

    It's looking favourable.

One of our worst signings ever. We bought an ageing injury-prone player and guess what....he is injured most of the time.

In terms of injury, it's been bad. In terms of what he has given while he's been on, it's been good. Ultimately, that means it's been a not so very good signing.

But if he is fit for the playoffs I'd probably play him with CA over any other striker we have. With that said, Zamora is (finally) doing some business.

I doubt we will play 4-4-2 in the play offs.

Not so sure, mate. It is a bit early for him to return ..................... the play-offs are still a bit away, you know.

For what he has done for what he has cost he owes us the winning goal at Wembley as his final act for us

Does that mean 2 central midfielders, 2 wide midfielders further forward and 2 strikers? Which would be 4-4-2 in my book. If Morrison plays, and I certainly hope he will, it has to be 4-5-1.

4-2-2-2 is a variation of 4-4-2 but it is different. Although you're probably right in saying that 4-5-1 is probably best. I wouldn't mind AJ being a winger at some point if Hoilett stops performing or Karncjar doesn't come back for a while. He'd be better there than O'Neill.

And with that said, I've been saying for a while now that Yossi will come good and always seems to be in the right place at the right time. If we keep him I think he'll become a good player for us and maybe even a fan favourite.

On last Saturday's performance, I'd have (if fit) Yossi, Carroll, Hoilett and Morrison nailed on in midfield. Which leaves Barton, Henry and Jenas fighting for the final slot as holding player.

If fit, Barton will be there. Whether he could play the holding role, I'm not sure, so you might need Henry as well, in which case one of your four would miss out.

I would honestly never have Barton and Carroll in the same team. Carroll is too light-weight and Barton isn't so great defensively. So I'd have Henry with either Barton, Jenas or Carroll. Preferably Barton as he's got the big match experience.

He's been immense. Has almost single handedly kept the medical team in good shape. This has ensured they have remained fit to deal with the outbreak of Ranger's hamstring syndrome.
