If Liverpool win the league.... 3 of the last 4 Premier League winners operate at a loss.

Doubt it, we are the biggest football team in England in terms of pretty much everything. We make more money than any other club in terms of shirt sales, gate, sponsors etc. We will obviously miss out on about 25 million being out of the CL, but that's peanuts compared to the rest we earn. We will still earn a lot more than any of the other CL clubs next season, even being out of it.

We obviously have a large debt, but most of that has been paid off through years of not spending anywhere near what was available when SAF was there.

It will only become a problem financially for us if we miss out on the top 4 again and again, and if you really think we won't get back into the top 4, after buying the likes of Kroos, Shaw, Carvalho aswell as others, then you really are in denial. It doesn't matter who our manager is, with that many quality players in our side, we will comfortably make the top 4:biggrin:

Both did. Both were emotional. If one was punished then both should be however, Rooneys punishment for swearing was batshit crazy and PC madness.

I dont see the ****ing issue with ****ing swearing. Kids are little ****s thesedays the twats.

Do you really think Kroos will leave Bayern to play crossball under Moyes?
I would guess he is using utd to get a better deal out of Bayern

We had a team that romped the league. A team that any manager should have been able to work with.

If the manager doesnt matter, why dont Real win everything and why didnt City win the league last season? Contradicts a little.

I said it wouldn't matter who our manager was in terms of getting into the top 4, with that many quality players. We could get Neil Warnock in for next season, and if we buy the players were rumoured to buy we should easily get top 4. I was not talking in terms of winning things though, as I agree a top manager can make a big difference. I still think Moyes though will come good for us, though that's just my opinion:biggrin:

And if he doesn't get a contract of 260k a week? Bayern won't break there wage structure for any one player, or they'll have to pay them all 200k+ a week:biggrin:

It is a disgrace. When England beat Argentina in the rugby last year Dylan Hartley was heard effing and blinidng in the middle of a post match huddle and the commentator apologised. The man had just helped his team to a big victory andwas speaking when he thought it was off camera - same is true for last Sunday. The fact is the cameras should not have been there and the same is true for Gerrard

Next season. You'll have to get back quick though... not just top 4 but back to winning or shirt sales, gate, sponsors, etc. will quickly fall.

You have the shirt sales, gate, sponsors, etc, because you were winning. Asians (even some domestic fans) and sponsors will start supporting whoever is winning.

I certainly notice since I've been here in America that you can almost tell who the current champions of the PL are by the rare football shirt you see. I'd say that in any given year 50% of the PL shirts I see worn are that of whoever won last. I suspect most foreign countries without their own strong domestic teams are just as fickle... and all our premier clubs are heavily reliant on foreigner's money now.

He can take £165k a year or just leave for nothing in 2015.

Bayern aren't like United. No player is bigger than the club.... like Rooney <whistle>

Nah, not that I really care about what Rooney did, my kids hear me curse, they know there's a time and place for it, Rooney sought out the camera and swore at it, Gerrard was talking to the team and a camera came to have a gander and heard it.

Neither is anything much really but they were different situations.

Ilkay Gundogan, a reported target for Manchester United, has signed a new contract with Borussia Dortmund.

He somehow managed to resists the lure of OT<whistle>
