If Suarez had Pace, he would be right up there with the very best, quick feet and sharp finisher, but just like Eduardo found at Arsenal, another Player about was also considerable hype, his lack of Pace meant that he just didn't cut it in the Premier League. He also scored 4 Goals in his first half a Season.

And Lucas is bang average, no further explanation necessary.

Any player that walks into Old Trafford or Anfield is MADE to understand the history of the club and the privilage putting on the shirt for either team.

Was Ruud Van Nistelrooy pacey? Was Alan Shearer pacey? Both were considerably slower than Suarez. He doesn't need to sprint 100 yards at a time, just have a turn of pace for 10-15 yards at most to beat a man or two and get a shot in.

 

van Nistelrooy and Shearer were as good as it gets.

Luis Suarez may not be the quickest,but he's got both the skill and the intelligence to counteract that.One example and KE pointed this out was when he took the piss out of the Man United defence.

 

I'm comparing them because the point is you don't need pace to bag goals. And he is faster than they were. I wasn't saying he's better than them, at all, so don't try to read it that way.

 

Suarez is insanely quick, its one of his main attributes. Carrol would be a better example I think.

He's got some pace,but he hasn't got Torres or Henry pace.However he's got the quickest feet of a striker I've seen in a while.As I said ''pace'' isn't everything.It never stopped Dennis Bergkamp who relied on skill rather than pace.

Suarez has been great at going past people and creating chances so far, the one thing that's let him down is actually his finishing, so you obviously haven't watched him much if that's the conclusion you've come up with him.

And the comparison with Eduardo is far off, the only person in anyway similar to Eduardo in the league currently is Hernandez and he's got the character/mental strength unlike Eduardo. Suarez is actually nothing like Eduardo and it baffles me that you've decided to compare the two, it's like comparing apples and oranges.

I reckon given time Carroll and Suarez can become Liverpools new version of Keegan and Toshack.Suarez the bundle of energy and Carroll the target man thats hard to handle.
