Let's keep this thread bumped... I don't think there any reason for not constantly repeating Hull City are in the FA Cup final. Day two, still no voice.
Sorry to disappoint, it will be Hull City that would be engraved on the cup. Did somebody mention we are in an FA Cup Final?
bump. HullCity F.A Cup Finalists 2014 We never had this as a topic like the Premier League Dream one coz it would have been a step too far .
A massive thank you to the Allams, Steve Bruce and the whole squad for making a 2nd dream come true. First we had the PL - top flight football back for a 2nd time in a short period of time. Second we now now have an FA Cup Final to look forward to on the 17th May. Third ???? well hopefully european football for the first time.
Still find it hard to get my 13 year olds head around the fact that watching City was generally depressing, frustrating and downright miserable. Apart from early to mid eighties my experiences are almost all lower league, relegation fighting, mid table mediocrity. His first game was 2004. All he has known is promotion with the odd wobble, open top buses, championship, premier league, better players than we''ve ever had, two trips to Wembley and now a bloody cup final! I hope he never has to experience getting in ten minutes late at Chester and finding us three nil down. I will never, ever , ever take any of this for granted.
Ach. I remember that. ****ing hate the Deva Stadium – the worst ground I’ve ever been to. I think that was the first season it opened too (92 ish).
Ach. I remember that. f**king hate the Deva Stadium – the worst ground I’ve ever been to. I think that was the first season it opened too (92 ish). It was. I was a student in Liverpool. Train was late. Just remember Gary Hobson diving in everywhere like he was playing on Fifa. Truely woeful game, awful diy shed of a ground . Only highlight was sitting next to Roy North on the bus back into Chester and watching him grimace as another p****d up Tiger shouted boom boom at him all the way into town
I woke up Monday morning and viewed the goals(online) again for the first time since Sundays game and I had tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat I must admit. I then thought back to a match which was dubbed the last possible game at Boothferry Park due to the ongoing financial woes etc. Think we played Cardiff or Brighton (we lost again) and at H/T Martyn Hainstock (P A who has since sadly passed away) gave somewhat of a little speech then played a record that he claimed summed up the mood around the whole club at that moment in time, that song was YNWA by Gerry Marsden, I sat in the south stand and took in all of the words and almost burst out crying , I managed to contain & compose myself and hold it together. While my mates went off to Anfield / Elland Road I stuck with us and watched some dross / inept displays over the years (like lots of other supporters I might add too). Its the little things like that I remember and make the glory we have enjoyed over the years taste all that more sweeter. WE ARE ULL
