I dont think theres anything to that statement bbf. It was liverpools day. A huge day even before kick off and one that only got bigger.

 

He was getting all emotional because they won the game, and it's a huge win in terms of the title. I don't recall Gerrard getting all emotional for previous victorys in past seasons around this time of year, when you lot where a mid table side

 

Of course he was emotional we won the game, he's local, his cousins death was fresh in his mind, his cousins family were at the game.
Of course winning the game is important to him as a player/captain but the cheap way you disregard the none football reasons he was emotional shows your hate is clouding your mind.

In the tape that is filmed it's clearly that Gerrard is swearing. "This will not fuc*ing slip now" before again, "This will not fuc*ing slip now"

According to a close contact they are looking into the tape, just like the time Rooney was caught swearing on the telly.

"We're looking into that, it was maybe a emotional time for the player, but he also has to remember what effect this could have on the people watching"

"We have alot of young viewers, so this is something we're taking very seriously"

"Gerrard might be looking at a two match ban, just like Rooney was fined some years ago"

Looks like Gerrard is in trouble and there goes the title

FA is expected to deal with this right after the Norwich game whether they find the player guilty or not.

In that case he will lose the two following games:

April 27 Chelsea (H)
May 5 Crystal Palace (A)

This surely has to be a huge blow for Liverpool fans if they're to miss their captain when they're potensially facing the PL final against Chelsea without their main man.

 

It would be an absolute farce if he was banned. To even compare what he did to what Rooney did is mind blowingly thick.

I agree the cameraman had no business being there to catch it, but then Rooney wouldn't have been heard either had the cameraman not been shoving the lens down his throat and telling him to kiss the lens.

 

I think Gerrard should be banned.
