    Would you answer me Pride?

Is it logically possible for all three to play EL next year?

    That would be WONDERFUL!!

Ok, went on to PL website and this is what it says.

Looks like not all 3 of them will be in EL next season.

    It could be

    Goons, Hull, Spuds
    or
    Goons, Hull, Moanu

Read below and accept combinations above!!

    UEFA Europa League

There are three places in the UEFA Europa League available:

    the FA Cup winners will enter at the Group Stage;

    the fifth place team in the Barclays Premier League will enter at the Play-Off stage;

the Football League Cup winners will enter at the Q3 stage.

In the event the FA Cup winners are qualified for the UEFA Champions League the FA Cup runners-up will qualify, but in the place reserved for the lowest ranking Barclays Premier League representative. The place with direct access to the Group Stage will be given to the club that finishes in the highest position in the Barclays Premier League of the clubs qualifying for the UEFA Europa League.
English winners of the UEFA Europa League will enter at the Group Stage, gaining an extra domestic place only if they fail to qualify through other means for the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League. If the holders of the UEFA Europa League have already qualified for Europe, no extra domestic place will be gained.

Should the FA Cup winners, runners-up (if applicable ) and the Football League Cup winners already have qualified for Europe, their place goes to the next best placed clubs in the Premier League.

Fair Play winners enter at the Qualifying round 1 stage.

This place will automatically go the three best-placed national associations in the UEFA Respect fair play rankings provided they achieve an average of 8.0 points or more. The top three associations will then be entitled to enter the club that has either won their domestic top-division fair play competition, or if they are already qualified, the runners-up and so forth.
Please note that the above is purely a guide to the qualification procedure at present. From time to time other scenarios may occur which could mean that the above procedures may need to be reviewed.

If Arsenal win the FA Cup AND finish 5th they would take the spot for winning the FA Cup because it goes straight to group stage. The*qualification spot they earnt for 5th place would move down to 6th and if City have a CL spot their League Cup stop goes to 7th so they all could be in Europa but it only happens if Arsenal finish outside the top 4 AND win the FACup.

I read Premier league paragraph again and understood - you are right Pride and your OP summarizes the rule perfectly!

But, if goons make 4th which is very unlikely - then the following are EL teams

    Hull, Spuds (6th) & Moanu (7th)

or if goons lose FA cup & make 5th - which is highly likely - then the following are EL teams

Hull, Goons, Spuds or Moanu (6th)

    right?

This is fun - just thinking about these combinations - just think how it would be looking at the final table on May 11th!!

7th place no longer gets Europa League, the FA Cup runner-up has priority over that position. Hull City are going to be in Europe next season, unless Arsenal win the FA Cup and they along with Manchester City both finish 6th and 7th (in any order).

Guess you meant Moanu & not city.

it just kills me.. can't we just ring someone in UEFA and get a definitive answer to this?

I wish Moanu / Spuds had made it to FA cup final to face the goons.
And yes I would fecking hate Hull city & UEFA - if they ruin this - Spuds, Moanu & Goons in EL !!

You are wrong. Hull only get the place if they win the fa cup or if Arsenal finish in the top 4. 7th will get Europa in the scenario I have mentioned in the original post.

No need, we have the answer. They can all end up in Europa under the circumstances listed in the op.

Why would it be so bad for our little Club (Hull City AFC) to be in the EL? We would've surely earned the right?

I don't have a problem with Hull being it in, however, I would be wary of what it could do to your season. Look at Swansea, being in the EL has cost them dearly in the league.

Ideal situation would be Arsenal finishing 5th and Hull beating them in the FA Cup.

We aren't saying that. We are saying how funny it would be to have our 2 biggest London rivals and ManU in the Europy.

Really goes to show what a funny old season this could be in both United and Arsenal fail to qualify for the C.L for the first time ever in the same season, and the team who spent 100 million in the summer doesn't even remotely challenge for top 4 either. Truly is the most open top league in Europe now.

Who could reasonably predict next seasons top 4?

This thread is very funny, only the OP gets it. If Arsenal come 4th, then Everton get it.

not just ideal, but most likely given the current state of affairs.

I stand corrected, guess Everton would be in EL if goons pip them to 4th.

Having just found this recently posted article it looks like you're right:

    http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/...eague-qualifying-places-explained-140414.html

"If the FA Cup winners finish in the top four, their UEFA Europa League place goes to the runners-up. However, if the FA Cup winners finish outside the top four, their UEFA Europa League place goes to the next-highest ranked team in the Barclays Premier League (nominally the seventh-placed team)."

"If Arsenal beat Hull City in the 17 May final and finish fourth they will qualify for the UEFA Champions League and Steve Bruce’s side will enter the UEFA Europa League as runners-up. However, if the Gunners win the FA Cup and finish outside of the top four they will enter the group stage of the UEFA Europa League as FA Cup winners and an extra place will go to the club who finish seventh in the Barclays Premier League."

I was previously reading the following which made it appear as though the FA Cup finalists had a right over the team in the league to go to Europe:

    http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/fans/faqs/who-qualifies-to-play-in-europe/

"Should the FA Cup winners, runners-up (if applicable) and the Football League Cup winners already have qualified for Europe, their place goes to the next best placed clubs in the Premier League."

    Sorry read it wrong

It'd be brilliant if we could beat 'em in the Final, Wengers never forgiven us for beating 'em at their place in 2008 <laugh>

Would love to see it. You've nothing to fear. All the pressure is on Arsenal and they regularly choke. They were fortunate against Wigan. If Hull win this Wenger has to leave IMO.

Definitely, and you've got every chance of doing it. Big fan of Steve Bruce, hope he's the next England gaffer (sorry :))
