Does this really mean Wenger has under achieved considerably in last 10 years? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/ar...lsea-Arsenal-Liverpool-Manchester-United.html
The wage bill doesn't mean anything, we just over pay some players, people like Bedntner are on 50k a week.
We spend the 4th most on wages and finish approximately fourth in the league. Do to see what the big shock is. We are fairly close to Chelsea in wages currently as they have worked there arses off to lower there wage bill at a time where we have just started paying our players more.
I may have read it wrong as I only skim-read it but wasn't it listing an average player wage? It's long established that most of the Arsenal squad were on about the same wage for first teamers with a few exceptions like Ãzil, Ramsey and Jack whereas with Chelsea I imagine the big earners are on mahoosive monies whereas some others are on far less. I'd be more interested in seeing how much each club paid out on wages total.
Rick Peters?! That's a new one. I also smile when I get called Peter on here too though I guess it's understandable. FWIW my username is just a childish joke.
Yeah it doesn't because we pay most of our players an equal salary of 50-60k a week, including rubbish like Bendtner, just because you pay a sack of **** a lot of money doesn't put you on par with the other clubs.
I don't think any Arsenal fans can realistically defend our wage structure upon learning we actually pay NB52 monies.
Well in the last 10 years we've won a league title and an fa cup, so that puts us joint with city in 3rad behind utd and Chelsea. So still around the 3rd or 4th mark.
Which would be a different period to the last ten years. Plus hopefully an additional da cup will be added. Either way we spend the fourth most and are about the fourth most successful.
Well it's taken your club about 25 years to finally win 1 title, if you do it, so 10 isn't so bad in comparison.
Liverpool salary of the first team is £26m lower than Arsenal!!! Despite the current league position, Arsenal are doing bad I guess.
26 million, or 46 million, you're LFC aren't you? And it's been 25 years, so 10 years in comparison, is not a big deal. . You can bet once we get a fresh direction and start spending the money we have in better ways, like buying top quality players, giving high wages to players that deserve it, the title will come. We have everything in place to win titles, and soon enough we shall. Save this down, it won't take Arsenal 25 years to win the league.
We can raise it by a few million with no problems, and also manage to make up for it by getting rid of players that don't deserve to be getting the big wages they are getting.
