    That's like saying ;

Im at the point where I just want the season over , regardless of how it all goes. Nothing the board , manager or players do will be a huge surprise . We all deserved better , but thats the way the ball bounces.

I think you guys are looking into this a bit too much. Let's be honest here, those put in the stands against Chelsea have largely been failures this season. They haven't really contributed to the team.

A lot of Garry Monk's appointment was probably due to the fact the board wanted to hire a replacement for Laudrup with as little time and money spent in the process.

I don't think Monk is completely to blame for his ineptness, he has no experience as a manager and was really thrown into the deep end with a club that is in free-fall.

That being said, he is the manager for the time being and it's his responsibility to work in conjunction with the board to ensure the club is run well and is achieving results on and off the pitch.

It seems there's a rift among the playing staff with a lot of Spanish players siding together. The reasons for the bust up are unknown to us at the moment and I doubt will find out any time soon. It would be wrong for the club not to discipline players who are at the root of these altercations, yet we're facing a relegation battle and need to put our best 18 fit players on the team sheet.

Managing a football club is no easy task and some serious reshuffling of staff is in order once the season is over and (fingers crossed) we retain our Premier League status.

Until then I implore everyone to get behind the team and manger whether we agree with his appointment or not :)

I'm fully behind the squad/team /manager and as long as we continue to offer the team our vocal support from the stands and bitch on here then I'm fine with that concept. Never ever boo'd and never will COYS.

Agree with this. HJ has been absolutely fantastic in the past but has got this one horribly wrong and it's probably one of the few mistakes he and the Board have made. It's only my opinion and I understand why they were concerned about Laudrup but I posted yesterday that he should have been given time, say five games or so to turn it around as injured players were on their way back. But what's done is done.

HJ is only human but it is worrying that he's taken on a director of football role if true. You need a different kind of skill set in that role. Monk's appointment was an amateurish effort to recreate the Martinez era that backfired. I thought so at the time and it's been proved to be correct. Assuming we do scrape it and stay in this League the Board must appoint a decent manager immediately who can stop an inevitable exodus and bring in decent players at the right price. If they persist with Monk we'll be going through this again next season imo. I will also stand by those comments even if we win the next couple of games.

By the way, no "miracles" have been seen by be so far on or off the pitch. We won the local derby against a rank Cardiff side and got a decent result at Arsenal. The rest has been gash.

Whilst I agree with most of that... 3-0 over Norwich weren't shabby considering our usual record against them! (I know they were very poor, but still)

interesting comments, for me Monk is a joke. why HJ did not bring in a decent proven manager is just beyond me. In the off season the first player I would get rid of would be Chico, the guy is a fking moron, in fact most of the team bar maybe Bony, Vorm and trying to think of a third

Yeah, but to completely disregard it is also a bit rich...anyway I said I agreed. Nothing about Monk's reign so far has any 'miracle' feeling, just saying we've had more than two good results....there's been three ;)

I can confirm that this story is very much true! I was at the fairwood training ground passing in my car when police vehicles with blue lights flashing decended on the training ground, I must admit I was shocked and thought, there couldn't be any of our players there with the Chelsea game kicking off in a short time, I was coming back from watching Mumbles 1st team play at underhill park. Bad news aye, and why we need a clear out, you can thank Laudrup for all this, in my view!............... <ok>

And this is very much true, I've hinted to you on here a number of times regarding player power and the state of the dressing room that Laudrup left it in, and one of Monks priorities was indeed to repair it, how the hell do you think our performances have been so bad?..............<ok>

Not sure how reliable my source is (though he did keep saying about Emnes which turned out to be true) but he says we have Di Matteo lined up with Monk as assistant for next season. Also said that this was lined up before Laudrup went (!?!)
    Not a bad shout if it's a go-er.

Just because the Mail doesn't mention it, doesn't mean it didn't happen, anyway you can believe it or not, but the Swans Fairwood training ground was surrounded by police vehicles, so something serious must have happened there, I saw it all with my own eyes as I have mentioned previously, and I wasn't going to mention it on here due to sceptics like you, can't be bothered with some of the thinking on here!..............<ok>

Personally I would love to see Di Matteo take the helm! A big name manager is needed to keep the current players interested and also attract some new talent.
