Well Terror, if the new signings want to leave in the summer they can **** off, they haven't exactly set the prem on fire, they've all been average players who haven't improved the first 11 at all, Bony apart, who we all know wasn't a Laudrup signing. Maybe the Laudrup fanboys need to wake up and realise we had been sliding into oblivion 12 MONTHS before Monk was appointed, but let's all hail the previous manager who couldn't be bothered to train the team as he preferred to go gallivanting elsewhere.

Read the article, it comments that Monk is trying to heal divisions in the squad since he came in, just like he has at every club in his second season, Laudrup has ****ed up big time.

Talk about picking sides, Laudrup was selecting a poor version of Leon in Canas, playing Michu before Bony, and picking one of the worse strikers I've seen in Vasquez every week. Laudrup, it appears has left a hell of a mess, and Monk is doing his best to stable the ship, whilst embroiled in a relegation battle. Shame those involved in the training ground fights couldn't show more fight on the pitch, might not be in the position we find ourselves in now.

Regardless of who hates who Monk should be objective when it comes to team selection and not choose sides. Him putting his foot down and leaving, what looks like, one side of the argument in the stands is the wrong message to give and will only cause more divisions. He should have been directing their anger against Chelsea and deal with the handbags off the pitch in his office.

I agree with most and the Board have a lot to answer for. Having the players subvert the manager and bend the ear of the chairman is never good and his first action should have been putting them face to face to air their problems rather than all this back-stabbing. I do hope we get someone on the Board with more football club experience in the summer and a Manager who knows what he's doing.

Yet more bluster from a club that's trying to paper over the cracks. This is what can happen when you bring in a player who "knows the Club inside out". It's as if it's a reward for being "loyal". Forget the fact he's managing in one of the toughest leagues in the World but has zero experience. Forget the fact that he clearly has issues with some of the players. Good ol' Gary will do the job because he's "Mr Swansea". It's proposterous when you think about it. Someone correctly pointed out yesterday here that we are coming across as amateurish and parochial and that's perfectly accurate.

You know it's almost not Monk's fault at all. Almost. The Board need to take a long look at themselves in the mirror. Like the rest of you I hope that other teams don't put a run together because I fear for us. We will almost certainly get less than 40 points and it looks as if we may not have to. Luckily for us the bottom half of this League has been rubbish this season or we'd be gone already.

If there is such a split in the camp thats an awful lot of players who have to be moved on and with our budget restraints and limited scope of scouts players of equal quality may be difficult to find .

About time focus got away from the Laudrup/Monk-theme.
The board isn't up to what is demanded of them. Swans need to appoint a director of sport, as a minimum. I strongly believe a new board chairman would be in place as well: Huw Jenkins has been way too involved in the failures of this season; which could have been the most memorable season of all...

What I find extraordinary is that people on here are still blaming Laudrup for these latest events, whatever ML did right or wrong he cannot be blamed for the current debacle. Monk has been in charge now for several months more than enough time to have rectified any in house problems, it has to be Monk that carries the can on this one along with HJ. It is pretty obvious that Monk has not got the respect of the players and they appear to be ignoring him completely, it was a poor appointment which the majority of fans knew at the time and if not they certainly do now. To move the club forward we need to replace Monk and just as importantly Jenkins needs to take a non footballing role within the club, leaving on field football matters to the manager and if needed a new footballing supremo or an experienced director of football. We are quickly becoming a laughing stock, let's put it right now and move forward.

He's also been heavily involved in the successes and rebuilding of the past 10 years too.

I'd have thought it is a handful that don't respect Monk, i.e. Canas, Poz, Vasquez, Lamah and possibly Michu, all of whom are not good enough to start a game at this moment in time. Could be argued far more disliked Laudrup. Of course the matter still involves Laudrup, we are now witnessing the fallout of the Laudrup regime.

The "fall out of Laudrup's regime" should have come this summer when there would have been time to get a new manager and players in, and some out, not 2/3 of the way through the season. It was an amateurish decision sacking ML and now we're paying for it.

Jenkins made the right decision to get rid of Laudrup, his only failing was not to have a suitable manager in place, unless of course said person isn't available until the summer. As for past glories, that's rubbish. Jenkins has got every managerial appointment spot on. Talk about footballing chairmen I'll take Huw before the likes of Abramovich and Levy any day of the week.
Huw has done wonders for this club, yet you only seem interested in criticising the man.
As for past glories, isn't that what Laudrup had been doing for the past 12 months? The football under him since the cup final had been clueless and dull to watch.

This post was the biggest load of bollocks I've ever read on here but I've highlighted the most preposterous statement for you....what miracles has Monk achieved?
    Go on have a go.

P.S. - It is time for you to pipe the **** down as once again you have made a call and couldn't have been proved more wrong. It would be comical if it didn't involve the possible demise of the Swans.

They should build Jenkins a statue outside the Liberty, give him a handsome bonus and employ someone from the outside who isn't out of his depth in the pl transfermarket (director of sport) and a chairman who isn't manipulated by former team captains, who wants the club to go forward instead of settling and can do this without loosing the core values of the club.
