Sounds like the best idea on here, I think I shall pack up my keyboard til the start of the next season and follow the sound of leather on willow whilst mellowing out on some chilled alcoholic beverages, cheers.<cool>

Wickets proving hard to come by for Durham after posting a healthy total. Onions could do with getting few to boost his summer chances, though we won't mind if he remains at Durham!

In more postive news Cook, Robson, Bell have all posted hundreds today. Moeen has bagged a couple of wickets too, following on from his quickfire 41 yesterday. Finn bagged a 5 for yesterday too. Woakes and jordan got themselves amongst the wickets. Balance hit 77 for Yorkshire. Anderson has already been back among the wickets.

So plenty of positives for the England hopefuls.

What do you think will happen if we get to Sept 1st and haven't really bought or sold anyone, a couple here and there, retained LDJ and Shola, for example, all under Pardew?

Obviously aside from the cast iron fact we'd get relegated, what will the fans do? I;m also going under the given that Pards will be increasingly vilified, but will neither walk nor be pushed from his post.

Oh, he could be. Pardew is not the worst manager in the world. Hell, he's not the worst manager NUFC have had this millennium.

Colo might be better or he might be worse. He would at least be different. At the moment even the prospect of new failings is attractive: at least they would be novel and surprising for a while and spare us the sense of grinding inevitability born of too intimate association with Mr Pardew's shortcomings.

I'd give him the job tomorrow.

Wouldn't do any real good while Ashley is still the owner. Could do a lot of harm. I am at the stage though that I'd self harm just for the excitement of seeing if I'd bleed to death or not.

It isn't just that we're getting beat, we're not even playing football.
