I really think you and the other Arsenal fans that criticize Wenger and the team just miss the entire scale of the situation. What you are saying sounds good, until you start looking at the facts. The Arsenal debt, the second largest in the world, and the highest of the top 10 debts as a proportion of the value of the club, stands at about 230 million pounds. Over the last 4 years Chelsea have spent (net) 275 million on transfer fees alone. In the same time Arsenal have spent (net), 30 million pounds. Now just let that sink in for a minute. Arsenal have the most crippling debt in world football, and that entire debt doesn't make up for the difference in transfer fees alone. Forget player wages, forget the actual debt repayment, forget everything else. The entire debt, not even enough to cover transfer fees for 4 years! And yet despite this, Wenger has found cut price bargain basement players and moulded them into a team good enough to make you think that the manager should (not might), if he is not tactically inept, genuinely be expected (your word not mine) to beat Chelsea. Who in their right mind, when confronted with those numbers, could rationally expect that? But you go further. Not only do you say that however, but you also insult anyone who doesn't share this insane notion. And so here is the problem with this situation. Socially these days an argument is far more likely to be won by conviction than logic. To win any argument you just need to want it more that the other person. Be mean, be strong and you will prevail. Doesn't matter if what you are saying is complete bollocks, the chances are the other person will back down and you will be right. Except you aren't right. You didn't win the argument, you just frightened the other person away.

I'm amazed that you've had such a bad season, yet somehow have stuck pretty close to us. Doesn't say much about us. You have actually had one of the worst seasons a good side can have, wasting money, manager sackings, poor ownership, tactically inept new management, player fallouts etc.
What's our excuse then? At least the spuds have an excuse (ok, many excuses) for a horror show of a season.

On the other hand, you declared your 'contempt' for those of us who express an opinion that differs from yours. Not very tolerant are you? I never said that we should expect to beat Chelsea, I said that we should expect more than 4 drubbings from our immediate rivals. We didn't merely lose to Chelsea, we were humiliated.
