Yes that is true, players spitting their dummies out has been the rumour hasnt it ? Problem is we are in a relegation fight and need our strongest possible line up and bench at all times IMO .
Norway all I'm saying is you are entitled to your opinion but moron is a strong word. Dismissing people who may disagree with you with that expression without knowing anything about them is possibly insulting. It appears I am over sensitive. Perhaps I should resort to personal abuse and then you would think I am more of a reasonable person?
How many headers did N'gog win ? As for it being an alternitive option to target and move chelseas centre halves around, well, they had he numerical advantage anyway so it was a tactic based IMO on pure fantasy . 1 against 2 or 2 against 3 which is what chelsea were able to do,move in a full back, drop a midfielder and maintain the numerical advantage in the defensive 3rd, not a smart move by Monk at all sorry to say . Hitting it long was school boy stuff from monk, we had more success eeping pace on the field keeping the ball and trying to play on the break, in fact the likes of Dyer have been very good doing just that as a striker and JDG is also capable. Chelsea have some of the best headers of a ball in the premier league but they dont like playing against pace, as routs proved on a few occasions. just my opinon of course.
In your opinon you mean right ? if i called you a moron that would be bad, but if i used the word in a general context then so fookin what ? are we saying that generalisations are now offensive ? if they are then may i whole heartedly apologise to you sir for being offensive in your extreme, i shall never use that generalisation ever again for fear of the offence it may cause. Yes you are sensitive but im prepred to factor that in to any post i make from here on in, then we will be free of any issues or problems
We'll of course when your playing against the Champions League semi finalists and the most successful Manager in Europe over the last 10 years well it's going to be a walk in the park. Just look at the respective benches. We lost 1-0 and I watched the game live. What do you people want???????
Can you clarify what you mean when you say "you people" just so there is no confusion or offence caused ,thanks.
Things did not appear and feel right towards the end of Laudrup's reign. Monk may or may not not have had a hand in ML's departure. Even if he did, it was the Chairman's and the Board's decision to place Monk in charge - that is where the "fault" (if that is the right word) lies. If we go down, should the Chairman stand down? If we stay up, should the club either bring in a "professional" Chief Executive with Huw becoming non-executive Chairman?
The end of Laudrups reign was 3 wins and 3 losses taff , what do you want . Still in all 3 competitions , with healty players and big promise on the horizon then Laudrup got sacked .
It's not said but apparently now that GM has not overseen a win the defeat is laid at his door. It was all to do with the subs apparently!
I tell you a guy who did think we should be beating big teams like Chelsea...Huw Jenkins ! said so in his articles . So who on here said we should be beating Chelsea then ?
That's correct Norway. I wonder who on here agreed with him too? We had spirited defeats against big clubs this season under Laudrup....he didn't get any credit for that though (rightly so imo)....but apparently spirited defeats against the big clubs is proof that Monk is the new Messiah for some! What Laudrup should have got credit for was his results against teams in the bottom half of the League. Monk is failing people. Wake up!
Exactly right Terror and it gets on my wick, Monk loses against the big teams and its called a good display and something to build on,Laudrup loses against the big teams and the chairman is icking off in the press ! Monk has his team running flat out away at Liverpool going for a win and burnt out with nothing left in the tank against a team they needed to beat at home the following week WBA !! but thats also ok ! Tragic mun! I hope we can stumble over the line otherwise it will go down as one of the biggest balls ups in Premier league History .
We lost to Chelsea away under Laudrup and I listened to Iwan Roberts co commentor on BBC Wales radio who was perplexed at the lack of desire and urgency in the last 10 minutes to commit players forward and attack to try and get a goal. So please don't talk about spirited defeats. It was was face saving losses. His post dismissal interview was about saving face and putting himself back in the shop window which I guess is fair enough. But feeling sorry for a multi millionaire can only go so far
