You actually think you're better than Arsenal? You lot have won the premier as many times as us. You're arrogance knows no bounds. The Liverpool fans of the 70's and 80's were top class. Unfortunately your fans of today aren't.
I've been a matchgoer since the 70s and I'd say that the table never lies, at what point in your opinion do we have the right to say we're better than Arsenal?
There was a point when they usually didn't finish above us, then a period when they did usually finish above us and now they've reverted back to not as usual finishing above us.
"had" being the key word, the manager that guided them to those years of success has gone and most of their senior players are over the hill.
Let's see how he comes back from this injury, eh? Owen lost a yard - and thus his major asset - after the same injury, and Fowler was never the same re lightning reactions in the box. but he is the type of player who suits our game, so let's see who takes over from Wenger this summer or next, and the likes of Theo (and Ox, oh yes PLEASE!) might want to get out of there anyway.
If I had to pick one player from Arsenal it would be Ramsey. Would fit nicely in our CM. Walcott is a decent player but he wants to play through the middle which isn't going to happen for us. He scores goals and makes assists which is what you want of a wide player, but he's so reliant on his pace that like Owen & Torres, once he hit's mid-late 20's (especially after a few injuries) he may lose that and not be as much of a threat as he once was.
Trying to put my bias aside. If you're looking at the long term (and Theo's injury record) I think you'd be mad not to swap if it was offered. Sterling is 19 and has been one of the stand out players in the PL this season - and trust me that wasn't a surprise, I've watched this kid since he was young and we knew we had something special back then. I remember him scoring 5 goals in a cup game and everyone thinking WTF and WhoTF is this kid. I also disagree (not with you) but with whoever posted they're different types of players. Both can play across the front three, although I guess Theo is a better striker and Sterling is a better number 10. But nonetheless they are both versatile forwards. With Sterling I truly believe we have something very, very special developing - I potential superstar. #believe But I'd definitely have Theo in our ranks too - certainly not for 40mil though, his injury record is far too risky for that kind of money Both cracking players with bags of pace that would terrorise oppositions if played together - shame this couldn't be tested at the world cup to be honest.
i watched that game, he ripped them a new arsehole both are quality players, but one is injury prone, hopefully the other will not be, but as they both use pace who knows.
