I think he's gone anyway, big money clubs will come in for him and I wouldn't blame him one little bit.
Im sorry valley but if you have not got your listening ears on and dont know why laudrup was sacked then you will never know. Us that are regular goers know fully well why he was sacked and why monk had to take over...you should realize why by now for gods sake.
The lad's ambitious and whether we like it or not he's not going to attain them by staying with us .Enjoy him while we can because I really can't see him with us next season as much as it hurts to write this .
"Embrace the Horror " a bit when the money comes in from multi -team bids , the sky is the limit for Bony .......20 million minimum imo .
Please tell us why he was sacked then ,inform those of us that "know nothing" please tell Dai please please tell
Just two observations I would like to make. I went to the Cardiff Home game and we had booked a Hospitality package as we had overseas visitors. We asked the Office staff what was the mood like after ML leaving and she replied "everybody in the Club was much happier". A dozen posters on here call for GM to be sacked yet at the game yesterday at least 10,000 chanted his name constantly. Are they all wrong?
If the board deemed it necessary to get rid of Laudrup they should have replaced him with an experienced manager. Installing monk as manager was the most dreadful one they the board have made, which may well end in catastrophe. He's just Jenkins's puppet. Swansea fans are in general totally opposed to this appointment and want a new manager installed for next season. A recent survey of swansea fans show that they don't want Monk 2-1 in favour of a change.
Sbulby. Not by yesterday's evidence at the game. The support was remarkable and commented on by the players via social media.
I'm a regular goer too, and I sit next to lots of people who are also regular goers, but if you don't know people who are allegedly "in the know" by not personally knowing players, players friends, coaches, back-room staff, friends of back-room staff etc etc then you still know jack sh!t. But that's not my fault for not knowing anyone!!
No theatre giving their full support to the club just as I did but I like most fans feel that Monk is not the man to take us further. There is currently a survey being run by walesonline swansea fc. Where again there is approx 2-1 in favour of a change.
I dont know about anyone wanting him sacked, just not made manager full time and most also think he should never have been in the position of manager in the first place. Basically its support for monk because everyone wants him and the team to do well after the game the talk is about how it was a terrible ill thought decision by the board to put him there as he is totally out of his depth. For most people they accept monk is out of his depth but want to give the support he needs within those 90mins, talk to 10,000 of those people after the game perhaps they will say something different, i mean lets be fair, you need to be an absolute moron to think Monk is the right guy to take the Swans forward,he is totally clueless as a manager, Monk is using his legend status to great effect, thats whats affording him the level of support within the stadium IMO.
It's very derogatory to call him (Monk) "clueless". There may be dozens of experienced managers out there who would do a better job than Monk but he's a doing a better job than anyone on this forum could ever do, although judging from what you read on here you'd never know. IMO
I was one of the 10.000 who chanted his name , as I have of countless other previous managers and will continue to do so who ever the next incumbent is ,thats not to say that I agree with his appointment because I didn't then and don't now but I will support the club/team/manger in any way I can and if by chanting the guys' name goes some way in helping the players then thats my contribution and yes the players responded and hopefully we can take that positive mood into the remaining fixtures .I want him to do well but it's not his time imo.
I didn't agree with ML's dismissal and it certainly lacked class in the way it was engineered; but there is a terminology used on these boards such as "like most fans" well no has asked me? And you have to be "a moron" to think in a different way that also lacks class. Has it occurred to some posters here that not everyone agrees with them and just because you write it it doesn't actually make it correct? I was there yesterday and the players gave 110% for the club and the temporary head coach. That is a fact.
Well, there is no way of knowing Aswan, but putting N'gog on in front of JDG who has been on fire in front of goal ,tells me alot . Having a look at our bench and seeing a bloke who couldn't get into the Bolton team,a bloke who was in and out of the Boro team and a guy who came from Falkirk and has never played higher than L1/championship also tells me alot. We have seen Lamah,Canas, tiendalli,Poz and Michu not make the bench ,nobody can tell me the lad from falkirk is a better bet than Canas ! So monk clueless ? IMO mate
Ok, are you happy with Monk in charge and was he the best option for the club ? Football is all about opinions right, you mentioned 10,000 people singing Monks name ,well im sorry to say that aint true, did you actually count the people ? no, of course not but everyone gets your point just the same. Also if there were as you say 10,000 people singing his name that means there were 10,000 people NOT singing his name But no point splitting hairs its far too tedious and you(not you specifically ,your sensitive to that so thought id make it clear) end up going around in circles. Your point is very well made and in future i will never mention the word "most fans" without asking them first "Moron" well i stand by that sorry, but thats just my opinion like it always is,not correct nor incorrect .
In fairness the second half Chelsea played 3 up front which meant Vorm couldn't play out to his defenders thus forcing him to kick long to Bony. Cahill and Terry either stood in front or behind him and won most balls keeping the pressure on the Swans. NGOs was brought on for his height to give an alternative option and target and to move the Chelsea CH's around. Not saying it worked but it was not a bad idea.
