Apparently every Chelsea player drinks Tahitian Noni Juice every day at the club. I don't know much about it apart from it's some sort of super juice and really expensive. Any idea if there's any truth to this?
Very much doubt it. It is made from the fruit Mangosteen, which has very little nutritional content and only low vitamin levels. It is made by an American company and sells for about $55 per litre, reason for the cost is the tree only produces fruit for about 10 weeks per year, even in tropical areas. They have been warned for their marketing by the US food regulators, as their claims are not true and have never been proven.
Cheers Abu. Wish I asked you that question before my old dear forked out £140 for 4 bottles! She was told it was part of the daily routine at Chelsea for every single player. I was hoping there was someone with inside knowledge that could confirm or quash the rumour.
Yeah BH it sells so well in the US they turnover about $1.5m per year, and have even introduced the tree to Puerto Rico due to increased demand. The company is MLM (Multi Level Marketing), it must be the placebo effect. Someone has introduced that Chelsea rumour to increase the sales this side of the pond, seems like a faux pas to me mind, having witnessed us loose to Villa, CP, Stoke, and their ilk.
That would be funny if it came from any other clubs fan, but from a Spammer... It's fookin hilarious.
A Spud, questioning, the squandering of money on the Chelsea board, is like having Jimmy Saville defending you in a child molesting case.
