I very much empathise with people’s financial woes, especially in the current climate.

But, it’d be a bit **** if those who said they couldn’t afford the semi suddenly could afford the more expensive final.

A couple of season pass holders I know didn’t go yesterday, both are a bit strapped for cash (they have families) but didn’t go down the route of ‘not being able to afford it’.

They both said they couldn’t be arsed, which for such an occasion I was surprised by (particularly as one of them trawled the 4th Div grounds with me when we were utterly ****), but I respected this answer more than a false plea of poverty.

Well I used to like football far more back in the 80s or early 90s, people's lives change, they get other interests. Doesn't mean you can't still follow the team's results or watch stuff while not really being willing anymore to really spend money on it. It's probably more honest than those who just jump on board because the team is on TV now and playing the 'big' clubs.

'We are', there's a lot of this everybody is in the same tribe and should think the same mentality. :D There's two rugby clubs but plenty of other sports have had a history in Hull. There's more competition from other sports against football than some other cities would be a better way of putting it I think.

Well I was there yesterday and would love to be at the final but with the massive price hike of tickets and the lack of been able to get home on train is going to be a problem and I suspect I won't be the only one.

To 20k to 'randoms' is actually the 20k that are given to local FA volunteers for all the work they do throughout the year, they've had that allocation since Wembley opened.

There were a lot of young kids there yesterday.

I imagine there will be adults taking their places for the final.

It's good that so many young impressionable fans got exposed to the heady atmosphere - hopefully a fair few will be hooked for life.

But they need to be educated into the real point of it all- which is not parping on a plaggy horn and wearing a jester hat. They can do that at playtime.

    Hear, hear.

It is the Football Association's Cup and these tickets are the perks they get.

It's nowt new or a scandalous modern twist.

Anyone know the price range of the tickets for the final.

I wasn't overly impressed with the £50 seats. They say there's no bad seats at Wembley but when the action was at their end, it was like watching a game of subbuteo.

I was in a £50 seat in block 111 - directly centred behind the goal. It wasn't easy to follow what was happening at their end but I think half of the cause of that was being blinded by the sun - which was was an absolute pain for half of us yesterday.

Block 513 was directly in line with our goal in the first half, but very high up.
Like I said, I didn't really get the prices.

I will be there as will be the 2 junior tigers who have become Hull City fanatics since I started taking them these last 3 seasons.

First 2 full seasons for them .... Automatic promotion ....then a cup semi final with a final to come.

Iv told them all about our history

    :)

48 seasons before automatic promotion for me to the top league

49 seasons for Wembley / semi final and final

My time watching City hasn't been too bad.

    Since 1999/2000:

    4 promotions
    1 relegation
    1 playoff loss
    FA Cup finalists

    Ok I get it

akin to the USPGA allocating a certain number of places in their major championship to club pros.

As you all know I was at Costello yesterday but got away in time to watch the game in the pub. Just could not contemplate losing so was relieved in the 2nd half. Kept in touch with my son who was at Wembley. Think I will have to stick with the £45 seats, Just worried if I will actually get to see anything in those seats. Any idea what they will be like anyone.
